@NetherWitch @ask_aubry 100%. Respect is earned. Not deserved. As a man with 2 daughters, I work hard to ensure that they (and my wife) know that they are valued. My wife and daughters aren’t my equals. They are better. And I try everyday to act in ways that make me worthy of their respect.

I 💯 do this, not because I'm Asian, but because whenever I see a super sketchy dude I want to see where they are sitting so I can't sit far far away.

@ask_aubry IMHO, we get women to respect us by showing THEM respect. By truly treating them as our equal (or better). And acting ways that in show we are worthy of respect (not everyone is). Understand that we have given women reason to not trust us. And be better than that. It takes time.
