@senresourceblog Congratulations Georgina. It's an accessible, brilliant piece of work. 👍

@LiGregoryBirm No. Sadly, you have to wait.
English

@mrsgdh She does have a haunted look.
English

@annedavies127 @wesstreeting Good God 🤦🏼♂️
What about on costs - pension, admin, NI, sick leave, resources, management, worker protections.
Have you any idea?
English

Hey @wesstreeting the bloke who mows my neighbour's lawn and weeds the borders is on £20 p/h. Why are some resident doctors paid less than that? 🤔
English

@tes @IPSEAcharity @catrionamoore13 Hmmmm - how do we know they need that provision? There will need to be a test.
English

Few would deny that the SEND system needs an overhaul, but only giving EHCPs to pupils in special schools isn’t the answer, says @IPSEAcharity’s @catrionamoore13

@SteveChalke Wrong. Strong deterrents can be very effective.

@draevans Which is your favourite flavour?

@Headteacherchat You get paid, don't you?

Anonymous Post:
Has anyone noticed a change in parental attitudes?
Not long ago, parents appreciated our extra effort. This year feels different.
In Year 6, we’ve prepared for SATs, organised trips, and more, but no thanks. After a week away with their kids, parents collected them without a word or smile. It's disheartening.
Is anyone else seeing this, or is it just us?
English

@ian_cushing Come on 🙄
Didn't you see this coming?
Ruth has been heavily connected with the DfE for years who have pushed RWI.
Just ask her husband... 😜

what a coincidence for Ruth Miskin 🤑

Exclusive: Ruth Miskin announces new handwriting programme for schools – days after government reveals new focus on handwriting, following her advice educationuncovered.co.uk/news/ruth-misk… Rival phonics publishers furious about what one described as “institutional capture” of DfE policymaking.
English

@MichaelRosenYes She's been balls-deep in Whitehall for ages.
Ask her Husband... can you guess his position???
English

@SEN_advice The move to mainstream has already happened... the majority of those with EHCPs live there, and have done for sometime.
English

@garethkthomas In a way, that's trend makes sense.
English

@JamesAFurey So, 'which' Dyslexia do you speak of.
Last check says there are at least 30 variations.
English

@MoreMorrow Because beaches aside, it rains most of the time, is flooded with London money and has breathtaking levels of poverty and isolated, out-dated villages everywhere.
English

@Headteacherchat Most people - obviously
English

@RogersHistory I'm not sure why there is all this fuss.
I've done the job.
Yes it's tiring at times but, like many jobs, there are rhythms and predictable levels of intensity.
Let's not forget there are peerless levels of holiday (13 weeks in state sector) which more than makes up for it.
English

I've decided that trying to explain to someone who has never been a teacher the things that make it particularly challenging is mostly a waste of time. Some are abstract (The tiredness generated from the performance element) and on the intensity of the job - you can only compare to what you can compare. Only way is probably to do the job for a term. Politicians would particularly benefit from this, as well as some activists on here.
