@EdwardBrakoo @froyo_baggins3 @ManagerTactical @jcouto_ind 100m/200m athletes often train 400m, and they're often very good, but they aren't good enough to make the team for the 400m open *usually*. I don't know the Botswana team well enough to know, but sometimes there isn't enough depth so a sprinter sneaks in to the relay

No one who wins the 100m will even compete in the 400m for example. Not a single (?) field athlete will compete in any other event. In swimming and diving that's not true
