I had such a crazy week because I was burnt out and all. So I made these posters these morning to bring myself into the reality of what today is going to be, a GOOD DAY.

Jesus is a feminist” is not primarily about whether Jesus valued women, He clearly did. The issue is that “feminist” is a modern ideological label with multiple meanings, histories, and assumptions attached to it. So the problem with the statement is this: 1. It places Jesus inside a human ideological framework. Christians believe Jesus is not best understood through modern political or social movements. From that perspective, saying: “Jesus is a feminist” can sound like: “Jesus fits inside feminism,” rather than: “Feminism must be evaluated through Jesus.” For us as believers, Christ is the standard, not an ideology. Secondly, “Feminism” is not a single, fixed thing Some people mean: equal dignity of men and women, opposition to abuse, access to education, protection of women’s rights. Others include ideas Christians disagree with: radical individualism, rejection of biblical sexual ethics, hostility to motherhood or marriage, gender ideology, antagonism toward religion. So the statement becomes unclear because “feminist” carries many competing meanings. Jesus transcends modern categories. Jesus defended women, taught women publicly, received women disciples, appeared first to women after resurrection, protected vulnerable women, and challenged male hypocrisy. But He also: affirmed marriage, affirmed creation order, spoke about holiness, called both men and women to submission to God. And the point I made in that video; Calling Jesus a Feminist is anachronistic. Feminism is a movement that emerged in a particular historical context centuries after Jesus’ earthly ministry. So, Jesus was not “a feminist” in the historical sense,though feminism may agree with some things Jesus taught about human dignity. A statement many Christians would find more accurate is: “Jesus radically affirmed the dignity, value, and humanity of women.” That avoids importing Him wholesale into a modern ideological category while still recognizing how countercultural His treatment of women was in the ancient world.

“Why didn’t Jesus kill if God can kill?” Because that was not the purpose of His earthly mission 🤷‍♂️. Jesus Himself said: “For the Son of Man did not come to destroy men’s lives but to save them.” — Luke 9:56 Notice the words: “did not come”. That statement is mission-specific. Also notice this: When Jesus read from Isaiah 61 in Luke 4, He stopped at: “To proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord…” and then He closed the book (Luke 4:19–20). But the same passage in Isaiah continues with: “…and the day of vengeance of our God.” — Isaiah 61:2 This is important. The passage reveals two dimensions: - mercy, - and judgment. In His first coming, Christ came primarily in mercy to save men, not destroy them. We must understand the difference between: ability and mission. Even then, Scripture still shows that Jesus possesses authority over life, death, and judgment. “For the Father judges no one, but has committed all judgment to the Son.” — John 5:22 “For as the Father raises the dead and gives life to them, even so the Son gives life to whom He will.” — John 5:21 Also: “He has appointed a day on which He will judge the world in righteousness by the Man whom He has ordained.” — Acts 17:31 Furthermore, in Acts 5, Ananias and Sapphira were judged after lying to the Holy Spirit. Peter said: “You have not lied to men but to God.” So to argue: “Jesus did not kill during His earthly ministry, therefore God cannot judge or take life” is not a sound conclusion. That deduction comes from isolating one portion of Scripture without considering the whole counsel of God. And if one is not careful, that line of thinking drifts toward Marcionism — the ancient heresy that separated Jesus from the God of the Old Testament. Scripture reveals one God: holy, merciful, just, righteous, and loving. Doctrine must be built from the entirety of Scripture, not from isolated verses detached from their context. Hope this helps.

The church's tone about sin will determine if our Saviour will be perceived as the God who gave His best to save us from the worst or just a bored deity who is wooing humans to His side because he loves the company of great and special humans. Sin must be spoken about with the grave seriousness that it deserves. Until the sinner recognises how dead his trespasses have made him and how urgently he needs the lifeblood of the only Saviour. Until then, altar calls will keep appearing like men doing God a favour by identifying with Him, and evangelical crusades will become just another socio-religious recruitment strategy that polishes depraved humans into better-behaved sinners who are still estranged from the family of God.

I don’t like Oats but I acknowledge that it’s good for the health. I don’t need to desire to be killed by God to acknowledge that the author of life can choose to take it whenever He desires, of which we see Him do in scripture. As you were sha.
