@DaleJohnsonBBC @Tony_Scott11 Yes you were, it was clear as day what you were claiming. And obviously not "very factual points about the laws, which are still correct" because the ruling is that it was an error and it should have been a penalty. In future don't try to gaslight fans to try and feel superior!

@EfcWorcester @Tony_Scott11 No I wasn't. I was answering very factual points about the laws, which are still correct. You can't give a penalty if the ball isn't in play, that was the point.

Does this leave room for interpretation? "..proud Everton playing career.." - Does it mean his playing career continues elsewhere? - Does it mean his Everton career continues but just not as a player? Either way, he'll always be a club Legend and I wish him nothing but the best
Everton@Everton

Seamus Coleman – one of our greatest-ever servants and captains – has announced his proud Everton playing career spanning more than 17 years will come to an end when his contract expires next month. Thank you for everything, Seamus. 💙

@KayBurley I have no issue with standing aside to let potential future PM try to get into parliament; take the risk & let voters make that decision. But I utterly despise the corrupt cronyism of this non-entity 2 year MP getting a peerage out of it! That is the part that needs addressing!

@JacobsBen Is there any sell-on clause from the Everton to Newcastle move? Be nice if we can get a little bonus from this. But obviously if so, it will affect what Newcastle are willing to expect knowing that a percentage is immediately lost.

Broad terms now in place between Anthony Gordon and Bayern Munich. However, there remains a gulf in valuation between Bayern and Newcastle with club-to-club talks ongoing. #NUFC seeking £75m+. There is optimism the club’s valuation will be met given the volume of initial interest.🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 🤝 @alex_crook

@Paddy_Boyland @TheAthleticFC I like Tim, a no-nonsense tackler who breaks play up well. But it just isn't enough to justify a first 11 spot. You can't rely on a player who is great at only one part of the game but mediocre (or less than) for the rest. He's a player for those "defend for your life" matches.

Tim Iroegbunam. A 'PSR signing' courted by English/Italian clubs in last 2 windows. Brilliant off-the-ball numbers but "parts of his game to improve" Moyes' pick when Gana or Garner not there Can he make the step up to permanent starter? @TheAthleticFC nytimes.com/athletic/72723…

@PeteWeller18797 @Tony_Scott11 Slightly disagree but fair play for your honesty without bias. I just think Pickford wouldn't be a straight red because he got the ball first and genuinely had nowhere else to go other than the player. Definitely a penalty despite ball first, but I'd say a yellow for him.

@Tony_Scott11 West Ham fan here. Terrible decision. It is handball and a penalty. And if they believe it is not handball then it is a penalty for holding an opponent. Also Pickford on Taty is a penalty and a straight red.

"It's an accident, it's an accident. It's a complete accident." Screams VAR Michael Salisbury. 90% of penalties given in football are accidents, fella!! We can sleep now knowing the PL KMI panel came to their senses and realized it was a monumental error

@TonyCottee9 Take a leaf out of our book (Everton) Vs Man City. Play with fear like our first half and get destroyed. Play with pride and passion, as we did in the second, and you never know what might happen. I'll be giving W.Ham my full support today, I believe you can do it!!

@DaleJohnsonBBC "*Most* of the holding.." doing a lot of heavy lifting here. Pathetic excuse! I've seen penalties given where *most* of the contact is outside the box before the player goes down, so should we now use your rationale to say they'll only be free kicks moving forward?

On the Merlin Rohl penalty claim. Most of the holding by Bernardo Silva took place before the ball was in play, so that cannot be a penalty. The holding that took place once the ball was in play was deemed not to be an offence. File under extremely fortunate. #EVEMCI

@MrBoogerstrom Rohl was excellent! Iroegbunam had a very strong second half too, like he really enjoyed making some well-timed crunching tackles high up the pitch.

BBC4 has on the first ever episode of Only Connect, and the simple fact of having people choose a Greek Letter has already broken me, never mind the actual questions. I'm like "what the bollox is that squiggle!?" Miss (at the time) @VictoriaCoren looking incredible as usual on it

@darrengrimes How is anyone surprised by this? He's all out to push "deals" like this through before the slaughter at the local elections which see him ousted. It's last chance saloon for his dodgy decisions.

@JeremyClarkson @david_stewart I'd have been certain of Table Tennis. I've watched it at the Olympics and it's outrageous. - correction; I tried to watch it. I end up staring at the table as a slight blur occasionally comes into view for a nano second.

@PolitlcsUK @brumdispatch 2/2 The final letter "d" has an embellished finish splashing back, but rest of surname is pretty close. The thing throwing it all off is the very different "M" making it all seem vastly different. It looks like sig 1 is just a basic, legible version of sig 2.

@PolitlcsUK @brumdispatch There's definitely a completely different legibility in the signatures, but some markers that are consistent in both. The "S" has a more embellished upper loop, which is not quite there in sig 1, but is essentially the same. Rest of first name is more or less consistent. 1/2

@RachelSJohnson It's ridiculous. Clearly someone who repeatedly commits violent acts & wants to stab random strangers suffers a mental health issue. Bigger question is "compos mentis" - if they're able to function normally in life but commit acts like this, the "mental health" card is invalid

@GiuliaBould I really can't see the issue. He had way too much to drink in his own private time, enjoying his life - as almost every one of us has done at times. People demonising forget he's not from the same pathetic generation as them; zero alcohol and a woke demo as a form of a night out.

@Plettigoal How many players are Spurs going to keep agreeing deals with *subject to staying in PL* ? If they're making agreements to sign players, & players are choosing to join them, prohibiting other clubs from making moves, then it should be binding. No "get out" clause.
