The man is back on the street.

But the point I am trying to highlight is that the EC potentially allows you to bypass small states entirely, rather than helping them.

Why? Why would keeping the electoral college, which we've had this whole time, make us not a dominant power, which we already are? Also, what was decided during the Civil War? That the union is not a union of free States? Because it certainly is. There was a reason for no prosecution over the civil war, and that's because leaving the union is thought to be legal and they weren't certain of a victory in court.

Life without parole if I need to compromise, but the death penalty is justified. Would the woman be just to have killed the man trying to violently rape her? If so, then death is acceptable. Raping someone with violence is the same as kidnapping and torturing them. 30 years is not enough for those kinds of monsters, imo.
