In honor of International Overdose Prevention Day, here are some drug use risk reduction tips from Einstein HRAM!

We now have an addiction consult service rounding bag full of goodies! (Naloxone, fentanyl test strips, info on syringe service programs and safer injection, never use alone hotline, etc) Thanks to our medical student and fellow for making this happen #harmreduction @MonteAddMed

@EinsteinHRAM and HOPE collaborated to run a Narcan training and harm reduction talk for the MS1s yesterday. It is very important that students are exposed to harm reduction principles early on in their medical education! Thank you @TiffanyLuMD for another successful training!

Glad to teach @MontePCSIM @montefioreIM @EinsteinMed where we have a REQUIRED addiction med curriculum including X waiver training for all med students and IM residents and rotation for IM trainees led by @TiffanyLuMD @laila_PMD @MelissaSteinMD Addiction Medicine IS Medicine!

So powerful for medical students to hear from patients about the impact of stigma on their lives. A much needed session in first year of medical school!!
