We thank @NYCMayor, @NYCHealthCommr, & Dpty. May. Helen Arteaga, Ph.D. for visiting & for their partnership in protecting NYers. During this winter’s extreme cold, that collaboration enabled us to operate 24/7 and provide lifesaving srvcs as part of the City’s Code Blue response.

As the tour concluded, @NYCHealthCommr presented ED @samrivera1111 w/ a White House Fellows medallion, calling it “meant for a hero.” After learning about Sam’s journey, he said the honor recognized both his leadership and the lifesaving impact of our work.

We closed the tour in our garden, a peaceful outdoor space for reflection, community, & programming during warmer months. It serves as a sanctuary where participants can rest, recharge, connect w/ nature, & gather for groups, ceremonies, & shared meals. onpointnyc.org/garden/
