When he was going through a rough patch, who publicly backed him? The fans? The media? Nope. It was Simeone!
He did something he normally never does and repeatedly stated in public that Álvarez was the best player in the team.
But yeah, somehow Simeone is once again to blame…🤷🏻♂️

Instead of making him play 90mins every 3 days in all competitions you play him 60-70mins once a week🤷♂️ and you keep rotating that midfield. Unfortunately some players just aren't built to play every game anymore especially when it's 60+ games a season.

This game basically sums up our season perfectly. Good performances, plenty of chances created but the clinical edge is missing.
There are games where we score most of our chances and then there are games like today’s. What we lack is consistent composure and coolness.
