@MiguelDelaney Even more curious how your writing over the years has gravitated from pro Manchester United to pro Liverpool to pro Arsenal and at all times anti City wouldn’t you say Miguel?

A curiosity to this final is that Arsenal haven’t actually lost to City in three years

At one point in the Liverpool era of Souness, Dalglish, Hansen, Rush, Molby, Case, Etc it was just presumed that they would win.
For Guardiola’s City to even slightly usurp that is an extraordinary achievement which cements them as the greatest team in English football history.

@LeGrove It’s embarrassing performative nonsense. Nothing more, nothing less

I'm sorry, but this is so far from tragic... this is exactly what we need more of in the Premier League. Noisy young fans bringing vibrancy to stadiums where the average age of a fan is creeping past mid-forties.
Make their tickets cheaper, give them more standing room.

@MiguelDelaney @bifana_bifana Can’t argue with that Miguel. You in particular would definitely need to speak to “people involved and coaches” to get any sort of tactical insight.
English

@bifana_bifana Not really. I spoke to people involved and coaches, to get proper tactical insight. And Arsenal basically just want the league

A new pressing tweak leads to a familiar scene: City winning a trophy, Arsenal looking on deflated
It wasn't like the 2-2 v Wolves though and more telling for April than "psychology" or "momentum" might be the pressing systems and what is gleaned

@now_arsenaI Your starboy can’t handle a bit of big boy football?

No foul apparently and it’s tackles worse than this which is the reason why Bukayo Saka has nothing in the tank right now.
He gets fouled constantly every single week and is never protected.

You can question the quality of some of Arsenal’s football. But you cannot question their character. Still some way to go to the finishing line but Arsenal don’t look like slowing up. When Manchester City applied pressure in the title race, Arsenal responded. They found a way to win. They fought hard. Gabriel and Rice particularly immense. Arsenal are battlers, not the “bottlers” as their critics derisively depicted them. They're resilient.
You can question Arteta’s use of set-pieces (24 of 61 goals in PL), the unseemly wrestling and occasional caution. But you also have to admire that in a crunch moment Arsenal’s manager sent on a 16-year-old ball-player with 28 minutes’ PL experience to turn the game against an obdurate Everton. Dowman delivered.
Max stretches headroom at the top for Arsenal. Hard to dislike a team with a talent like Dowman. He brings more adventure. The clamour now will be for him to play more. Dowmania. And just wait for the inevitable World Cup speculation, media frenzy, Theo revisited, but don't forget the group stage clashes with GCSEs. Let's not put too much pressure and expectation on Dowman (although he sounds like he can handle it and has good people around him, including Arteta).
Arteta also deserves credit for the way he has evolved this side. He’s bought/chosen well (Raya, Timber, Saliba, Gabriel, Rice, Zubimendi, Gyokeres etc), loaned in well (Hincapie) while Hale End plays its part (Saka, MLS, Dowman).
If they keep holding their nerve, Arsenal will deserve this first title since the Invincibles. They don’t quicken the pulse like some past champions but the Indestructibles absolutely deserve more respect than they receive. #AFC

This pic of @m8arteta says it all… Mikel knows how big those sensational final few minutes were today, we all do.
