Btw I don't have a problem with this and we're going to have fun with it, but can we please have the banlists come into effect sooner? Like 1st of the month or something like that? I'm trying to cook and then I rember it will be a week before I get to play with this...

@galzoTCG Like, I can't play dracotail as a deck anymore, it's an engine now, and very limited with what it can be used with. Branded, in particular F&V and the newest support, is one of the best splash packages in recent memory. I'll be using said package with Chaos Ritual in July.

@galzoTCG I never said it was unfair. I'm saying that Dracotail was hit, as much as it was, because of Walbaz. That isn't an argument so much as it is a fact. They won't hit the new thing, especially when it's a secret, for a good while. You have to admit, Walbaz is kinda crazy.

None of them are a problem, but I don’t think people are ready for that conversation yet.

@zehiragaci @DJStarSaber If kitkallos was unbanned today, the meta wouldn't change. If ariseheart was unbanned, more people would splash a kash package. The unfortunate truth of modern YGO, is that people seek out ways to prevent their opponent from playing the game.

This archetype as a whole is a neat concept, but with problematic execution. The sooner Kewl Tune (especially Rotary) is gone, the happier the YGO community will be.

@EldiusVT @WiLd_Streams Isn't that kind off because there aren't more DT cards you can really add to the deck? Why would you play 3 Urgula or 3 Pan if they aren't helping the deck at all?

Branded was always the problem, not Dracotail, but I don't think people are ready for that conversation yet.

@WiLd_Streams DT is favorable into Branded. I personally just miss how DT was. It just feels like an engine now, like branded was for it before the newest support.

@EldiusVT Objectively, the DT cards won jesse his games. Thats why Branded DT won over pure branded Which would indicate that the DT cards are the strong cards here

@herredore Rotary: perfect hand knowledge. Crackle: extra info and rip. Clip: Perma/random extra rip. B2B: Floodgate that generates advantage. RS: Omni negate/floodgate that can get BiG. Cue: deck info and potential draw lock.

@galzoTCG I'm just sad Dracotail had to take hits because of Branded, and will likely take more long term. It's the only control deck I've liked since 2008.

@WiLd_Streams Looking at OCG, and TCG right now, yes. Jesse's build is more Branded than Dracotail.

@LMJeffJones @PfeifferFelix I mean, no one likes being floodgated, to be fair. Not a good look for them, though. How much does the build change post chaos origin, and how well does it play into chaos ritual or blitzclique?

@PfeifferFelix I had more than 1 very unhappy opponents where if a judge was listening, they probably would not have been allowed to remain in the tournament lol

YCS Columbus 10th place Pure Power Patron. All 1 card combos get you to Lechery, Mercurium grabbing Sloth and Charmer bringing back Sloth and Nerva. Matchups below. Branded, Artmage, Doomz, Sky Striker and all those decks relying on breakers are the bye. Even when decks Imperm Sloth when you don’t have Varudras still means they can’t play spells. Going 2nd usually you just kill people your guys are fucking giant. Crown on your opponents attack mode monster and Virudium attacking for 10k is randomly disgustingly common. Mercurium also just being Dweller against branded is hilarious. Just make it when cleaning up their field and nothing floats going into their next turn. Even if you get cut off from Lechery, Sloth is still just game so often. Just play regular game with sloth Varudras counter trap set.
