Had a wonderful week at the CDT advanced characterisation of materials (CDT-ACM) summer school. Fantastic to see all the amazing work my colleagues are doing and I'm now bubbling with ideas for my own research. Huge thank you to the CDT staff for organising the trip!

Looking back on the amazing opportunity I had earlier this year, undertaking a three month placement at VerSoX Beamline at Diamond Light Source, working on XPS and NEXAFS of chiral-modified metal surfaces. I learned so much and can't thank everyone at B07 enough!

@jsecker You could check out @LANS_unibham, which is the interdisciplinary undergraduate course I'm currently doing! Birmingham also offer some cool joint honours like maths and music, or maths philosophy. Hope this helps 😊

I've been advising my friend's daughter on uni applications and I am compiling a list of obscure subject combinations to prove to her that you can put things like maths and art together. Please tag someone you know who works in this interdisciplinary way!
