German Major Josef Gangl taken by an American photographer on May 4, 1945. The following day, he was killed while shielding former French Prime Minister Paul Reynaud, fighting alongside American soldiers and French prisoners against SS forces. On May 5, 1945, less than a week after Adolf Hitler’s suicide and just three days before Germany’s unconditional surrender, one of the strangest battles of World War II took place at Castle Itter. The castle had been converted into a high-security SS prison for prominent French prisoners, including former prime ministers Édouard Daladier and Paul Reynaud, senior military leaders, Charles de Gaulle’s sister, and tennis champion Jean Borotra. As Germany collapsed, the guards fled, but the surrounding Austrian countryside was filled with groups of roaming SS and soldiers looting and killing civilians. Fearing for their lives, the prisoners sent out messengers for help. One reached the nearby town of Wörgl and connected with the Austrian resistance, who introduced him to Major Josef Gangl. A decorated soldier, ordered to fight to the last man, Gangl turned against the Nazi cause, and he and his men took up arms to protect civilians. When he heard about the prisoners, he agreed to help. On May 4, Gangl and his men linked up with U.S. forces from the 23rd Tank Battalion. Lieutenant John C. Lee Jr. didn’t need much convincing. With a small force, just a handful of soldiers and a single tank, they headed to the castle, arriving that evening. Hours later, a far larger SS force attacked. What followed was an almost implausible stand: American soldiers, Wehrmacht troops, Austrian resistance fighters, and the French prisoners fighting side by side. Despite Lee's order to stay out of it, the prisoners grabbed weapons and joined the defense. During the battle, Gangl was killed while pulling Reynaud to safety, the only defender to die. The group held out through the night, but by morning, they were low on ammunition. In a desperate move, Borotra volunteered to vault the castle walls and seek reinforcements. He made it. Just as the SS prepared to bring anti-tank guns to bear on the castle, American reinforcements arrived, routing the attackers and capturing around 100 SS troops. One of the two instances in the war where U.S. and German soldiers fought side by side, and one of the last battles in the European theater.

This wasn’t merely a photo op. Gable flew real missions. Too old to be drafted, he joined and served in the Eighth Air Force stationed in East Anglia, England. His fellow B-17 Flying Fortress crewmen were initially skeptical of Gable’s service, thinking it a publicity stunt. But they soon realized it wasn’t. He (and fellow actor Jimmy Stewart) refused to stay on the glamorous sidelines as MGM, who held the rights to the Hollywood star, had urged. He flew no less than 5 combat missions and, according to those same crewmen, flew many more unofficially, eventually earning him the rank of major. Although he was at the peak of his post-“Gone with the Wind” fame, Gable tried to blend-in as much as he could and only leveraged his star power for the benefit of others. When Bob Hope came to London on a USO tour, he knew Gable was in the audience and called for “Rhett Butler” to stand up. Gable remained seated and servicemen around him refused to point him out. Generous to a fault, he treated them to nights out and took a keen interest in their lives. For their own part, they looked up to him and loved to follow in his wake on a weekend pass and a London pub crawl as British women flocked to be near him. Those he didn’t choose were fair game. He left the pretty ones to them. “They’re too much trouble,” he said. In his forties, Gable saw the young crewmen, who were mostly in their late teens or early twenties, as his own children. On one occasion, he went to visit the tail gunner of his B-17 who had been shot-up badly on a mission over Germany. The young man’s back was broken, his spinal cord severed, and a lung gone, he was bandaged like a mummy. Gable became emotional at the sight of him. The attending physician told him the boy didn’t feel anything due to morphine, said he wouldn’t live much longer, and began describing his injuries in detail on the spot. Gable, noticing tears welling in the boy’s eyes, grabbed the doctor, dragged him into the hall, and pushed him against a wall: “If you ever do anything like that again I’ll kill you!” Hitler, who liked Clark Gable’s movies — “It Happened One Night” was his favorite — offered a $5,000 reward for his capture. Fearing he’d be paraded around Berlin like a zoo animal if he ever parachuted from a wounded Flying Fortress, the actor said he’d “just go down with the sonovabitch.” Source: These stories and more are in Donald L. Miller’s excellent “Masters of the Air,” a book I finished just last week. Buy it.

What if I told you that the 'Globalists' are just another distraction to keep you from looking at who's really pulling the strings from begind the curtain? The truth is much more simple than you might think. And it's also much darker. This is who Carney really works for. He worked for them for 13 years. He's still working for them today. This explains how Carney has been bleeding the Canadian economy dry since 2008. This explains how he deliberatly catalyzed the housing crisis. And deliberately manipulated the econmy. So that Brookfield would profit at the expense Canadians. Pricing Canadians out of the housing market. And bankrupting up to multiple generations. For his own personal gain. And the worst part is he has been gaslighting us into believing that we should blame ourselves for our financial struggles. That we're lazy, unmotivited, useless. This is the definition of corruption. And the following statement is not an official claim, only my personal opinion: This is pure evil. The amount of planning that went into this. Over a decade of plotting carefully, making sure all players are carefully in place so that they could execute this... it honestly terrifies me. Stand on guard 🫡🇨🇦 Share this with someone who hasn't seen it yet.

In 2022, Klaus Schwab published a book called 𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘎𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘵 𝘕𝘢𝘳𝘳𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘷𝘦. In it, he explains exactly how to shape public perception at scale. The formula is simple: Move across so many interconnected issues — economics, technology, geopolitics, society, environment — at such high velocity that no single person can see the full picture. Schwab writes that this velocity leaves people "cognitively stranded and incapable of making sense of what's happening." And when people can't make sense of the world on their own? They outsource their understanding to narratives — from voices they trust. Control the trusted voices. Control the narrative. Control reality. That's not a conspiracy theory. That's Section 1.3 of the book. Schwab writes that narratives become the ideas we accept as truths — they shape our "realities" and influence our choices and actions. In January 2025, WEF published the prescription: governments should engage the public through "trusted third-party messengers such as community leaders or social media influencers." Diagnose the confusion. Prescribe the cure. Own the messenger. The book is literally called 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗚𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁 𝗡𝗮𝗿𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲. The title isn't a description. It's the mission statement. Now look at what Mark Carney is doing — right now — in Canada: ◦ Bill C-8 — A single Minister can cut off your phone and internet. No warrant. No judge. No trial. ◦ Bill C-22 — Mandatory metadata retention on every Canadian for one year. Whether you're suspected of anything or not. ◦ Bill C-9 — Removed the religious speech defence from the Criminal Code. ◦ Bill C-15 — Bank of Canada now regulates every stablecoin issuer. Already law. ◦ Bill S-206 — UBI framework moving through the Senate. ◦ $25 billion "Canada Strong Fund" — not a savings fund. Debt. With Brookfield's "asset recycling" model built into the architecture. ◦ Trade deal with China. ◦ Spring Economic Update. ◦ International diplomacy tour — India with all 9 pension CEOs, now Italy. All of this. In weeks. Surveillance. Speech. Currency. Pensions. Trade. Legislation. Sovereign debt. All at once. All at full speed. Too fast for any one Canadian to track. Too complex for any one journalist to connect. Too many fronts for any one opposition MP to fight. That's not a coincidence. That's the playbook. But here's the part Schwab didn't account for. Watch this video. The man executing the playbook can no longer keep up with his own velocity. The architecture is eating the architect. 🇨🇦 Stand on guard Canada 🫡 Share this with someone who hasn’t seen it yet. #StandOnGuard #StandOnGuardCanada

I don't trust a government beholden to the demographics of its ridings to solve this here. We have a real problem. The next holy wars are at our doorsteps, and we have a post-national and largely secular society of people who don't believe it's worth fighting for. This is thanks to the self-hating, anti-Western education that schools are teaching, conveniently without showing the alternative. We should be filling churches and synagogues and making our national values clear. But we're not, and so we're sitting ducks.

You've tolerated and imported it for far too long. Is it even reversible at this point? And Canada isn't far behind Europe.

Mark Carney was Governor of the Bank of Canada in 2008. 📜 Under his watch, Canada's Big Six banks collectively received $114 billion in government support — and posted record profits that same year. Those same six banks went on to underwrite the specific Brookfield fund Carney led, becoming its main shareholders. While he slashed rates and held them at historic lows for five years, Canadians got priced out of the housing market. 🏠 Brookfield was buying the world on borrowed cash at near-zero interest. While Carney was Chair of Brookfield, the company faced documented accusations of Indigenous rights violations, human rights abuses, slave labour, and illegal deforestation. Remember the Air Canada CEO scandal? Carney removed the CEO who was standing in the way of a $2.1 billion Brookfield investment. ✈️ If this weren't all documented and sourced, I wouldn't blame you for not believing it. Every single claim is verifiable. Challenge any one of them. The receipts are all here 👇

The hard diplomatic work of trade with Europe was done long ago. We have free trade with them. The barrier to selling to Europe is the Liberal government blocking our biggest export from getting out of Canada. They killed the Energy East oil pipeline to Saint John and blocked LNG export plants despite Europe begging for our energy. I am challenging Mr. Carney to tell us when the first shipment of Canadian LNG will arrive in Europe. Our biggest export cannot be speeches, handshakes, and photo ops.

Conservative MP Frank Caputo’s Bill C-225 is a major step toward holding repeat violent offenders accountable and strengthening protections for victims of this insidious crime. Thank you to Bailey McCourt’s family for their courage in sharing Bailey’s story and advocating for justice for Canadians impacted by Intimate Partner Violence. Those who commit these evil acts must face the consequences they deserve.
Frank Caputo@FrankCaputoKTN

Bill C-225 (Bailey’s Law) just passed at third reading and is now on its way to the Senate! I am hopeful that this bill will continue to move forward and ultimately become law. I want to recognize Bailey’s family, as well as all victims of intimate partner violence; we hear you, and this is for you.
