@ONS I like living in the UK but the reality for the vast majority is that you would have a better quality of life if you moved to the 🇺🇸🇨🇦🇦🇺🇳🇿. Our quality of life will continue to decline, for some it may be time to find greener pastures elsewhere...

Shameful. I’m incredibly proud that this government has scrapped the cruel two child limit. Reform wants to push hundreds of thousands of children into poverty. thesun.co.uk/news/38258787/…

Exclusive with @AlbertoNardelli The UK has rejected an EU demand for it to pay as much as €6.75 billion to join its flagship defence fund The breakdown in talks to access the SAFE program is a blow to post-Brexit relations under Keir Starmer. It also risks damaging Europe’s efforts to deter Russia The European Commission has proposed that Britain should pay a fee of between €4 billion and €6.5 billion to participate in SAFE, according to people familiar with the matter It is also seeking an administration fee of between €150 million and €250 million, the people said A senior British official described the fees being sought by the EU as completely unreasonable and far above what the UK expected to pay for access, confirming London is rejecting the terms They said that France is taking the most hard-line position in terms of financial demands from Britain, and that negotiations would continue to try to bring the numbers down High-level representations have been made to European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen’s officials, the person added, warning that blocking the UK from joining SAFE would undermine European rearmament and send a message to Putin that the continent is not serious about countering aggression from Moscow The EU’s internal views on the payments being sought from the UK differ, some of the people familiar with the matter said. Some capitals are siding with Britain in supporting it paying a smaller amount, while others want to rigidly apply rules about access, they said bloomberg.com/news/articles/…

Rachel Reeves indicates she is looking at scrapping the two-child cap *entirely* 'I don't think a child should be penalised through being in a bigger family for no fault of their own 'We will take action on child poverty. The last Labour government proudly reduced child poverty, and we will reduce child poverty as well'

🚨 NEW: Nigel Farage has unveiled his plan for the mass deportation of small boat arrivals: - Arrest all small boat arrivals and detain them on disused military bases until deportation - Sign return deals with countries including Afghanistan and Eritrea - Run five deportation flights a day with an RAF Voyager on standby - Use British Overseas Territories like Ascension Island as fallback sites to house migrants - Create new criminal offences for anyone attempting to return to the UK To achieve it, Farage says the UK would leave the ECHR and other treaties (including the UN torture convention), introduce a British Bill of Rights, and pass an Illegal Migration (Mass Deportation) Bill It would involve spending £10bn over five years, but he says it will save taxpayers’ money long term [@thetimes]

Smash the gangs? Under Labour it’s a free-for-all. Smuggling arrests down. Record 50,000 illegal migrants crossings under Labour. TikTok 'guides' telling others to come, flaunting taxpayer-funded hotels. If you arrive here illegally, a Conservative Government will deport you.
