Supergiant dinosaurs through time. The reign of supergiants extended from the Oxfordian to the Maastrichtian, almost 100 million years. During that time, different families of sauropods- and only sauropods- evolved supergiants of 30, 40, 50 or more tons.

A new analysis of a beaver anklebone fossil found in Montana suggests the evolution of semi-aquatic beavers may have occurred at least 7 million years earlier than previously thought, and happened in North America rather than Eurasia. sciencedaily.com/releases/2022/…
