@Condomscanada No. I believe they have created a program to prompt single clients that frequent many hotels. She was going to a hotel and she got banned from Uber for being a sex worker.

@ElevateSexWork You mean....the clients came (as it were) to see her IN the car? With the driver present? Or...was she using Uber simply to get around? (which seems OK to us)

So this just happened 🤷‍♀️ a colleague got banned from Uber because she was using the services to see clients 🤯

@MrsAmazonMya Sadly it is often “guilt by association” that prevents many clients from seeking out SWers when the news is reporting assaults or a murder of sw’s. And Mantha is in the news in calgary. It will be a while before things are back on track.

@DecrimQLD Good grief! Here in Edmonton the licence for a brothel is about AU $700. For a population of 1M we have around 30 with 99.% compliance. Why does the Australian government think it is okay to make $$ off SWs?

QLD has a licensing system but 23 years in, there are only 20 licensed brothels and 90% of the industry is forced to operate outside of the legal sector. #DecrimQLD
