Shitting on Bungie’s community and development teams right now and blaming them when there’s entire articles that have come out since the news dropped showing that the decision came from leadership is not only foul, its immature, ignorant and cruel. Do better.

@GameOverThirty And also instead of spending time, money and other resources to fix the problem they do mass layoffs and also spend resources to start a completely new project. No, Marathon didn't kill Destiny but it sure as hell didn't help it either. Now you have 2 dying products instead of 1.

@GameOverThirty Basically EVERY update broke something within the game even if the update was just a tiny patch. The playerbase thought there was not enough content and their answer to that was to remove seasons giving us even less content. Don't talk about something you have zero insight to.

I get the sentiment around #Destiny2. It was a game that impacted a lot of people, in one way or another. I played it off and on. I enjoyed it, for the most part (there are many components of D2 I did not enjoy). However, the reason that content support is ending is due to the fact that most people stopped playing it. Even when Bungie released new content, people logged in for a month to check it out and then exited again. Don't get me wrong, the video market is saturated with a plethora of options. I haven't touched Destiny 2 in years. I have no time for it. But let's not pretend that this is some massive miscalculation on Sony's part. You aren't playing the game. That's why content support is ending. This is exactly how the free market works. You get what you pay for, or in this case, what you don't pay for. What did you expect to happen?

@3CH0plays As long as the current management sits the same problems will keep happening. Doesn't matter what number you put after Destiny.

Was Destiny 2 perfect? No. Were we vocal about the issues? Yes. Do we still love it entirely, flaws and all? Absolutely. #SaveDestiny #WeWantDestiny3

No disrespect to @A_dmg04 or @Cozmo23 but seeing copy/paste identical corporate text screenshot is in no way reassuring in any way. Not when we know Bungie has no future projects greenlit yet. It reads more like corporate panicked response to community sentiment than anything.

After today’s experience with the Destiny community and how they treat the staff at Bungie… maybe letting Destiny die is a good thing… holy.

@CoreBri You are right you did not say that, i only guessed the phrasing on the tweet since i only clicked on it to read the comments. But since Marathon is their only active product the only way to actively support Bungie is through Marathon.
