Lucky enough to work with the best in the college baseball biz with @PurdueBaseball's @ElginBen. Having listened to him type away on baseball or swimming updates or Tweets or IG posts or whatever at 3 a.m. on road trips, I can say for certain no one works harder.

I learned of @Matt_Rector's passing in an unusual way, only adding to a feeling that it wasn't "real." But Rector was mos def one of the real ones at Purdue.
From the OG cubicles to our adjacent offices during the pandemic, his POV was always welcome & reassuring. #BeKind 🙏🐶❤️

For today’s game, we will honor former SID Matt Rector, a long-time Purdue employee, who passed away unexpectedly on November 16. Rector retired from Purdue in Sept. 2021, ending a 14-year tenure, during which he worked with our program on a daily basis. #BoilerUp for Rector!

@ChrisMWebb Perfect sense in hindsight. But top much $$ on the line to not have the BBall tournament. Same reason BBall was only sport allowed to play non-conference games. Plus B1G changed the attendance policies just for BBall tourneys (in part) to at least get the big donors in the door.

@cdcole55 Interesting idea & obviously generating lots of replies. Was tougher for me than I thought. Respect for the rivals I guess & didn't grow up in Indiana so the IU hate is not as strong.
