Here’s the reality of social media: Your opinion has to be “correct”… but only in the sense that it lines up with whatever everyone else already wants to hear. “Controversial” doesn’t mean insightful anymore, it just means you twisted the knife hard enough to trigger people on cue. Worst part? Being wrong isn’t what kills you. Being irrelevant does. Boring takes don’t get hate… they get nothing. No replies. No outrage. No engagement. Just silence because nobody cares enough to even argue. Meanwhile everyone loves to say the “mainstream narrative” is fake… then immediately latches onto whatever the internet tells them is true that week because repeating it gets rewarded. So it’s not about truth. It’s about alignment + engagement. Say the right lie, and you’re amplified. Say the wrong truth, and you disappear.
