@StillFeechi @KMbappe If I'm a RB I'm defending Madrid CR7 before this

@SamiRmcf15 because last WC Messi fans were starting to get worried about the goat debate and he hasn't reached that level at all since
English

@YousufAhme50749 @lukeprice_18 @RoyalKimmich @gazerjadon No way. Mahrez could’ve trained plyos for hours and not reached messi’s acceleration, and idt Doku has the potential to magically gain Ronaldo’s goalscoring instincts just by working on it. You’re underestimating the gaps at the furthest end of the right tail
English

@EliteTw19 @lukeprice_18 @RoyalKimmich @gazerjadon if u make it into a top 5 prem club and u were a skillfull baller 20 yrs ago u had the potential to be the goat,
English

@YousufAhme50749 @lukeprice_18 @RoyalKimmich @gazerjadon Obviously it’s way less than 1% make it pro at any level at all - but below the national league in Isthmian Premier or something there are players who were an injury/luck away from making EFL. However there are zero League 2 players who could’ve been messi if not for bad luck
English

@EliteTw19 @lukeprice_18 @RoyalKimmich @gazerjadon nah u dont understand me, theres less than 1% that make it into the legue 2 league 1 national valderama league (lowest league in england) and then THERES EVEN less that make it prem la liga serie a , so if u make it in europe top 5 leagues ur closer to r9
English

@YousufAhme50749 @lukeprice_18 @RoyalKimmich @gazerjadon Nah I know but for the specific example it’s a bit different. At any time there are 450 nba players. In the premier league alone there are about that many. Once you add in all the pro leagues around the world there’s thousands. Messi is also the greatest to *ever* play.
English

@EliteTw19 @lukeprice_18 @RoyalKimmich @gazerjadon the thing is theres an actual stat that says theres less than 1% that make it pro and thats not even taking into account the epl or la liga, u can be a pro in the leagues below it, a famous nba dude said im closer to lebron than you are to me , thats where the idea is from
English

@lukeprice_18 @RoyalKimmich @gazerjadon Messi looked somewhat out of place in almost every football match he's played in though, regardless of the level. By amateurs I mean Steps 3-5 of non-league (not total randoms)
English

@EliteTw19 @RoyalKimmich @gazerjadon Amateurs would look more out of place in a league 2 team than a league 2 player in the prem
English

@FuckingTune @gazerjadon Idk tbh Messi is very far apart even from other real superstars in skill level. Even at 40 he’s making the MLS look easy. I’d say gap between League 1 and Step 4/5 is about the same as gap between League 1 and Messi although ofc step 4 isn’t average.
English

@gazerjadon I reckon league 1 man are closer to Messi than the average guy
English

@RoyalKimmich @gazerjadon It’s tricky tho - Maguire’s a top premier league CB. I’d say a lot of amateurs are closer to League 2 than they are to Lionel Messi ffs
English

@SeanDOlfc And there it is. The real reason for all the arsenal hate
English

"Culture club" basically means they are seen like a clothing brand and attract bandwagoners. That's why real life never reflects how they talk online. Inflated parade numbers, duvet cover tifos, made version of YNWA, using other club's parade pictures. List goes on.

@OoLlIi04 @gooner_south less hassle + way less crowd for like 8 extra minutes walk
English

@EliteTw19 @gooner_south how in any world is getting off at finsbury more convinent if ur going to arsenal? i’m genuinely curious cos you can just swap lines and get into arsenal within a minute
English

@OoLlIi04 @gooner_south fair enough everyone disagrees but if you live further north like between Wood Green / Crouch End it's way more convenient
English

@EliteTw19 @gooner_south nah bro you might walk to finsbury after the game cos of the queue but no need to get off at finsbury
English

@Jjj1971614 @nofoids I've reconsidered and think you're right - I was exaggerating, but at the same time I think the gap was significant. IMO Benzema's performances were not representative of how good a player he actually was and the gap between him/KDB and Mbappe's 2022 version was very clear
English

@EliteTw19 @nofoids I’m not even saying Mbappe wasn’t great. You’re just underestimating how insane Messi/ronaldo were in their prime. Yes ballon d’or ranking are subjective but there was clearly players at his level if he finished 6th overall.
English

@Jjj1971614 @nofoids don't care about ballon d'or rankings. the enlightened ones knew what they were witnessing
English

@EliteTw19 @nofoids No chance lol nobody was even close to prime Messi/Ronaldo. Mbappe wasn’t even top 5 for the ballon d’or in 2022.
English

@EduardoHagn Yamal dribbles equally intricately maybe even more so. But Messi and Maradona had a combination of agility and extreme power and you got a sense of dread whenever they started running with it Yamal hasn't quite matched yet although he is close
English

@SpectralSoulDV Goes to show why BCC is nowhere near perfect. If Olise had knuckleballed it off Kane’s skull when he was in the 6 yard box it’s a BCC but a lovely empathetic lay off for one of the best ball strikers oat to get a perfect shot off doesn’t count?
English

Good performance but people are overdoing it now, 0 BCC and 0/9 crosses with that much space...
