@issafemme @Lamarana_D EXACTLY. I had problem skin for decades and the only thing that helped was Accutane. I don't apologize for that and I cringe everytime someone suggests it's purely about cleanliness and diet.

the conversation around acne shifting from “drink water, be cleaner” to “this is a medical issue and you should treat it that way” is one that i’m pleased to see. there are 100% daily lifestyle choices people can make to improve their skin, but often times it’s not that simple.

Currently heading home from our hotel. Our cars made it through the storm just fine, and apparently our house did too. This has been a roller coaster of emotions! I’m exhausted! #HurricaneMilton

The power in our hotel went out a few minutes ago. I’m surprised it lasted as long as it did. Headed to sleep now. It’s still very windy outside. Tomorrow will be revealing.

The first floor of our hotel has started to flood. Idk how deep, but I don’t think it’s a lot. We’re high and dry on the third floor, but hoping that our cars aren’t flooding in the parking lot. It’s too dark to see much of what’s going on outside. #HurricaneMilton

Currently in the midst of Hurricane Milton. Am safe inside a hotel, but it’s definitely very windy and rainy outside. Per our neighbor, our house is fine; still worried about flooding.

@Bryssa We evacuated to Lakeland, which is about 35 miles west of Tampa (between Tampa and Orlando). We’re still in the path of the storm, but farther inland (I wanted to evacuate farther away but I’m with my parents and they call the shots).

I will be evacuating in the morning, but worry not! I turned in my ballot at the supervisor of elections office today. So, my house may get blown away, but I voted!

@Needle_of_Arya My bff was a Republican who married a super-conservative guy (who used to work for Rick Scott) a decade ago. I thought I’d lost her to the crazies. But she and her husband are now Dems and no longer speak to his family bc they’re MAGA.

I have run across white people who abandoned their entire families over Trump and never looked back and chose life & hope & happiness again
