Uber knew his pattern (late nights/bars) but matched him with a solo woman anyway. Uber's defense argued it wasn't "practical" to warn or block "high-risk" matches because thousands of rides would be canceled. Jury just awarded Jaylynn Dean $8.5M. 3,000+ cases pending.
