The "pizza cutter" is the most useless invention of all time. It does not actually cut pizza -- the single task for which it was designed. Nor is it useful for any other task.

I just heard someone on TikTok say "this is the first time in history women are dating men for their character. And that's why no one is dating." and she was right.

I didn’t know the context before I saw this photo, and I think the heart matters the most here? They went to mass to start the marathon with Jesus, yes you could say some people could’ve brought anything to cover up slightly. But imagine this, you’re going to run with your friend, the friend is not catholic but decides to go to mass with you. The friend converts after experiencing the catholic mass for the first time. I think we need to be a little less judgmental.

Not sure why teachers assume that they are the only ones who work outside contract hours. It's the difference between being a salaried and hourly employee. Everyone who goes into teaching knows - - or should know - - that they will have to take care of things outside school hours. It's a choice freely made.

Everyone loves to remind teachers about summer. Fine. Let's do the math. This week I worked nearly 60 hours. 6:30 arrival. Unpaid lunch with kids in my room. Covered PE — I teach Spanish. Graded vocab tests Friday night. Graded a children's book project on Saturday. Turned one into a movie and posted it for the class. Five hours of lesson planning today. The standard work week is 40 hours. The extra 20? Unpaid. Some weeks, the grading is lighter. Some weeks it's worse. This is not the worst week I've had. But yes. I get summers off.

When we got engaged, my wife had lots of credit card debt. She took a second job, moved in with her parents, and made her last payment the month we got married. Then she promptly quit her jobs and hasn’t seen a bill in 28 years. She swipes the card, and it just works. Likewise, I’ve never had to think about the kids’ basic needs or what’s for dinner. That stuff (and a lot more) just happens. This division of duties has made for a great life… but here’s the best part: 🤝 We both think we got the better end of the deal.
