So I’m reading this + the “ancestors do not want these traditions to die” line of comment & it is SO interesting please walk with me. Like I am understanding this is in response to yt ppl intruding spiritual practices of other cultures & I’m fascinated, let’s unpack : - does it look like these traditions are on the brink of dying to you?? Like are populations connected to these cultures going extinct? & since when? I was not aware. We’re talking about occult practices mind you so I’ll connect the convo about how it’s too many ppl out there doing things they have NO BUSINESS doing.. The occult was never meant for everyone to practice EVEN between individuals of the same culture so what exactly are we talking about. - Again it’s fascinating. It echoes conversations you have with some French yt ppl who will tell you that Africans & Afro descendants from the diaspora should be, *grateful* for colonization bc “y’all weren’t doing anything with all these resources so we took them, magnified them & actually saved y’all” Should we consider y’all are saving the practices? Saving practices NOBODY asked y’all to save, it’s still plenty of ppl connected to these lineages to partake, but when the world asks y’all to correct the wrong doing of your colonizer ancestors & dismantle the yt supremacy suddenly it’s crickets?? Why do you care so much about the spirits with no regard for the living?? WHO, are we fooling here.
