The Archbishop of Canterbury has said that legalising DIY abortions up to the point of birth is “legally, morally, and practically complex”. It isn’t ‘complex’. It’s WRONG. Killing a 39 week old baby is morally indefensible. No Christian should find that hard to say.

The House of Lords has backed removing criminal consequences for women ending their own pregnancies, even beyond the current legal limits. This isn’t progress. It’s a nation losing its moral footing. When a society removes all consequence for ending the life of an unborn child, even at the very edge of birth, it’s not compassion, it’s collapse. We’ve gone from protecting life to discarding it when it’s inconvenient, and dressing it up as empowerment. Modern feminism tells women to chase career, money, and independence above all else. Children become optional. A burden. Something to remove if it gets in the way. That isn’t strength. It’s a rejection of life itself. Scripture warned about this. Nations that turned away ended up sacrificing their children to Baal, calling it good. We’re not as far removed from that as people think. A country that cannot defend its own children has already started to fall. Time to wake up.
