On Monday evening, Karl Darlow became only the second Premier League keeper this season to be penalised for holding onto the ball for more than the permitted eight seconds.
The rule, which mandates that goalkeepers must release the ball within eight seconds of gaining possession, was famously enforced on the opening day of the season during Tottenham's match against Burnley, when Martin Dúbravka was similarly punished, with a corner being awarded to the opposition.
However, it has not been enforced since, leading to confusion and anger from the Leeds players, and the bench.
