@TheBarmyArmy Always watched some as a kid with my grandad. But now thanks to @hands1jeremy, I’ve watched him and his sons play, lost days watching tests and ODIs, been to @HomeOfCricket twice (inc. the museum!) and cried when @StuartBroad8 and @jimmy9 retired. Love it.

Who or what made you fall in love with cricket?

@fliceverett I gave up in the end - endless timewasters offering 50p when you’ve only listed stuff at £1. Not worth the hassle!

@fliceverett I’m so glad it isn’t just me that feels this way. Basic grammar, spelling and punctuation just isn’t being taught anymore and I’m not sure if technology has made things better or worse. You’re right though, it does still matter, and it pisses me off too.

Nobody can spell, nobody understands grammar, nobody cares about punctuation and the worst thing is, nobody cares. And I'm not going to add the humorous little 'yes, I am a hundred years old' coda, because it still matters, and it pisses me off.

I just needed to look up food that a country house might have eaten during March, and remembered my ancient copy of The Cookery Year. What a recipe book. It covers every seasonal moment of the year, it’s fabulous.
