The only rationalization I can come up with is the following: “The champagne tastes better when you’ve spent a few seasons drinking tap water.” Tap water is fine but it generally has bacteria, lead, and microplastics in it. No denying shit season. Complete rehaul coming in summer. Hopefully we learn, improve, and build it better. That being said, seeing the potential yesterday with those goals was something to build on. Seeing our fans, as usual, traveling and chanting was something I needed. Thanks for that. At some point soon we’re going to ask for that support for next season with a cool season ticket launch. Wish it was better this season but we move on; look to the World Cup; preseason; friendlies (we have some solid matches); and we go again, together, like we always do. Brad. @TheGillsFC

Watched the game today Gillingham v Bristol Rovers . Imo so many good things especially first half looked more as a team limited the opposition to next to nothing and deserved to go in 1-0 or maybe 2-0 at the break Just need 90 mins plus of the first half and results will come

@StuartLewis66 Just pointing out the fact that government borrowing is nothing new. But you only seem to have a problem with it if it's Labour. Must have missed the same tweets when the Tories were in power about all the borrowing they did.

@TheGillsFC A much better half and unlucky not to have scored. If we can do the same in the second half we will win the game. Get Andrews off and bring on Seb Palmer-Holden as we have been playing ball to feet which will suit him better.

@Elliot__Dean @StuartLewis66 And bring another manager in to deal with players he didn’t sign or want & we stay on the same merry-go-round we have been on for years. He needs backing & no arbitrary deadline of “it isn’t working”. He sees it out until the end.

Sometimes in life a plan just doesn’t work out and sadly for #Gills that time is now. He’s a decent fella and I like many supporters genuinely feel for Gareth Ainsworth but enough is enough. The board need to do the right thing for the football club and relieve him of his duties.

So, Gills, what to say right now? A few things. We knew it would take a few seasons to right what was inherited and to get our bearings. Injuries also huge issue. Shan and I (and Joe and Gaz and Dobbo and everyone else) still love and support this team and the fanbase. Stick with us. All we can do is survive the battles until we reinforce the foundation. It hurts. But can you imagine, some day, how it will feel when we finish our work? Another thing, while I wholeheartedly support the Gills and English football, I, along with nine other L1 and L2 owners, are taking a stand on the state of the EFL. It loses £500M per season and nearly all its clubs are within 1 month of being Sheffield Wednesday. No business owner on the planet, myself included, would affiliate with that sort of incompetence.
