Just seen Bryan Mbuemo has a year left on his deal. Chelsea should be going after him. We talk about doing something similar to Liverpool’s model, but even when they were going for 25 and under, they were going for serious players. He could be the answer to the Mane signing.

Until my dying day I’ll unconditionally love Chelsea football club, but it’s fair to say I’m finding it extremely difficult to warm to this side. We’ve got the nucleus of a decent team, but are all over the place tactically, & I’m sorry, that Manager is nowhere near good enough.

Great argument til your last line. I personally think it’s silly to bring up team awards when comparing individual players (when both players have won it all) I’d argue Terry doesn’t have a single attribute better than VVD besides maybe bravery. I’d also say the way modern day defenders are asked to defend is way harder than a structured back 4 like the brilliant Chelsea 04/05 team. I think they’re all great but just using my eyes I think Van Dijk is the best quite comfortably.

@ThatRexGuy Level of defenders during Salah’s time inferior. Salah up there but not the GOAT. His longevity is something to behold, though.

Salah has well and truly surpassed Henry Henry was playing against a vastly inferior generation of talent and was out of the league by 30. Salah is absolutely crushing it into his early 30s still at the very top with no signs of decline. Salah is the PL GOAT.

I get Ange's "play the game not the clock" etc, and you're trying to build a culture. But once that culture is integrated, and you can get past the growing pains....at what point is it just naive? It's too easy to play through and our players aren't disciplined enough
