Gotta say.. I respect the hell out of @RandPaul for this interrogation of Mullin at that hearing. A Senator holding a member of his own party accountable. Refreshing. Imagine how competent our government would be if we routinely held it to this standard.

Governor Newsom, with all due respect to the office you hold, your latest outburst against a dedicated public servant retiring after nearly three decades of service crosses every line of decency and statesmanship. Gregory Bovino has spent his career enforcing the laws of this nation laws you, as Governor, have repeatedly chosen to undermine yet you celebrate his departure with venom that would shame any true leader. You call him the smallest man who ever lived while presiding over the largest exodus in California's history: families fleeing sky-high taxes, unchecked crime, streets lined with tents and despair, rolling blackouts, and wildfires that devour communities because priorities were misplaced on virtue-signaling rather than competent governance. You lecture on ruined lives and spread fear? Look in the mirror, Governor. Millions have had their American Dream shattered under your watch, forced to pack up and leave the once-golden state you turned into a cautionary tale of progressive failure. This is not leadership; it's the desperate flailing of a man who knows his record is indefensible and his national ambitions are crumbling. A statesman rises above petty attacks, focuses on solutions, and unites rather than divides. You have chosen the path of the demagogue slick, performative, and utterly destructive. The American people see through the polish. They see a governor who lectures the country while his own state burns, literally and figuratively. They see a would-be president who can't govern the one state entrusted to him. Good riddance? The sentiment applies far more aptly to the era of ruinous policies you've inflicted on California. Let this moment serve as a warning: character is revealed in how one treats those who serve honorably, even in disagreement. Yours has been laid bare. The nation deserves better far better than a man who wields words like weapons while his state pays the price. America is watching. And we will not forget.

@thefoodbabe You are not fixing anything. More gkyphosate, no fix for toxic rest areas on highways, nothing about social media. Get real.

Every time a food manufacturer decides to use Avocado oil or Beef Tallow instead of genetically engineered toxic seed oils - This means less reliance on monoculture crops that are killing us with glyphosate. Every incremental step is a WIN against the beast we are fighting.

HHS Senior Advisor Calley Means on Massive MAHA Wins for the Administration: 'We are fixing food' "These aren't always things that are on the front page of Politico, but these are things that matter to moms in the country. I mean, when you, when you look at what is a concern of a parent right now, there's huge anxiety about childhood chronic disease." "So this is there's a magical thing happening where Americans are waking up. We've channeled that awakening through the political system, thanks to President Trump and RFK and the White House, the day Bobby Kennedy came into office, put together this MAHA commission. So every single day, we're working throughout government of how to spur this change more, not through command and control, not through any state, but it's through hundreds and hundreds of conversations we're having with Costco, with Target, with Walmart, with major food companies.." "Because of this MAHA momentum, we've been able to convene at the White House with these companies and a lot of this action has been voluntary. I mean, it's a big deal when Target says we are not going to procure items with these chemicals, we're going to take that leadership stance that changes the entire market. They're absolutely reacting to the MAHA momentum." "There is a cultural change happening in this country, and it is one of the biggest stories in the country that's happening, because the one of the biggest dynamics we face is that we are the sickest country in the world, and spend more on health care than any other country, and this cultural awakening that's happening is going to change that."

I'm a proud Zionist Jew. As a CUNY Professor, I work for @NYCMayor. It's beyond horrifying to know that if one of the many Hamas supporting faculty members I work with slaughtered me tomorrow, that the Mayor's wife would publicly support and celebrate my death.

@Ellis52K @paulieknep I loved the Hawk's one-handed swoop to the hoop, the ball enscounced like a tennis ball in his vast hand. And I digged NYC HS hoop. I was ucky enough to catch a face off between Forest Hills with Ernie Grunfeld and Fort Hamilton with the Bernard King

I’ve read two books that have been on my list for a long time in the past couple of months: Foul! by David Wolf and The Miracle of St. Anthony. Both lived up to the hype and vaulted into my top 10 favorite basketball books.

@powellAtlantic @paulieknep Don’t Albert King also play at Fort Hamilton? Gotta say one of the best parts of the Hawkins story is the rivalry between his Boys Hugh team and The great Roger Brown at Dewitt Clinton.

@WilliamHogeland Mine is the reverse challenge. My sons consistently turn me on to good-to-great music, much of which I was not familiar with. I'm self-aware enough not to pretend I knew of it and they are kind enough not to condescend

One of dumbest things to do is laugh, like "uh, yeah, duh!" when a teenager asks "Have you heard of Tom Waits?" or "Have you heard of Woody Guthrie?" It's an awesome thing and should be respected and nurtured. It's not about you and how much you think you know.
