Just found out a friend of mine is divorcing his wife, who has stage 3 breast cancer. She didn't do anything awful. He said he had just grown apart from her. He is no longer my friend, and I clearly misjudged him as a man. She has always been kind to me. I'm going to see if she needs anything because he can't be a man. Shameful. Am I being harsh? Did I break the bro code? No, you simply don't divorce your wife while she is in cancer treatment because you can't handle it.

Ordered a new #wheeliebin from @leedscitycounc1 as a cheeky squirrel has taken up residence having chewed a hole in the lid. Beautiful shiny new bin arrived whilst out and they took the wrong one away! (Squirrel happy and safe dreaming of new home in the garden but laughing ) 🐿️

@AndrewJD They’re running around and working so hard- they should be comfortable. Unfortunately they get so little respect now, who can blame them for not dressing to impress and putting comfort first. Improve pay and respect and they would have more incentive to dress more professionally

@Dr_BellaR We had a smoking room at the end of our long nightingale ward. And whisky on the drug trolley. Another life. Makes you wonder what the future generation will find unbelievable in 20 years time that’s normal practice for us.

@Dr_BellaR As a fellow medic experiencing care as a patient I can empathise. I was concerned about a specific model of care and submitted a PALS. I felt I needed to be an advocate for patients who did not realise it was wrong. The PALS was graciously received and changes implemented.

As a male anaesthetist… I wish we treated ovarian torsion with the same emphasis. Perhaps there’s a similar initiative that I haven’t looked at, apologise if I’ve missed it.
