Not the result we came for, but this LAN was still a big moment for Vortex. Vortex’s first time competing on LAN since the org was made only 12 months ago , all on very short notice. There was a lot happening behind the scenes that people won’t always see. Being in a LAN setting surrounded by other teams, staff, setups, and the overall esports atmosphere is an experience you can’t truly replicate online. The pace, pressure, structure, and the small details of the environment all play a part, and getting exposure to that was massive for us as a new organisation. Meeting everyone properly for the first time, having laughs, and building chemistry felt natural straight away. The vibes were strong from the start, which made the entire weekend smooth and genuinely enjoyable, even when the results didn’t fall our way. Huge appreciation to the lads for stepping up, staying professional, and repping Vortex throughout the event regardless of outcome. Representing the org with the right attitude matters just as much as the scoreboard, especially in moments like this. We’re coming away with valuable experience, clear takeaways, and extra motivation moving forward. This was only the beginning of Vortex’s journey on LAN, and it’s given us a solid foundation to build on within the esports scene.
