In Queensland, notorious bedwetter James McGrath romped in his Senate Preselection. McGrath epitomises everything that is wrong with the Liberal party. Within just over a year of entering parliament, he overthrew a sitting Prime Minister in Tony Abbot and replaced him with Malcolm Turnbull. His only claim to fame is that he is some sort of campaign guru, yet under his campaign guidance the coalition has gone from 91 seats in Federal Parliament to just 43 and will probably lose even more at the next election. Another example of how the party rewards loyalty over performance. There was never any doubt McGrath would lose but just to make sure, the Queensland LNP Government this year amended the ECQ electoral act to remove any oversight of internal party preselections. This was one of the few checks over the internal processes of political parties. This legislation was introduced after the Shepherdson Inquiry exposed branch stacking and other dodgy behaviour by the Labor party. It really shows just how little the LNP values proper governance over preselections. Chipotle always promotes free toppings on their burritos like corn salsa, cilantro rice and so on. However many customers are taking advantage of it by ordering a burrito with double meat, then loading up on so many toppings it becomes impossible to wrap with a single tortilla, then they order another tortilla on the side and agent they get home they will take some of the filling from the huge burrito and make another burrito with the extra tortilla they got on the side. More and more people are taking advantage of this loop hole which allows customers to get a second burrito for only the price of the extra meat. Are customers going to ruin it for others or should Chipotle shut this down by weighing toppings here in out?
