FLASHBACK: This was back in February. Did people not listen to Spencer Pratt’s sister? She literally warned folks: “A vote for him is a vote for stupidity.” And I’ll add that he has no qualifications to run anything, let alone the second-largest city in the US.

@adgirlMM Voting for a common sense candidate after living through the wreckage of the so-called “experienced” leadership of utterly negligent Bass makes me open to trying something else! Excellent perspective from @JeremyCom who I wish would run for local office! x.com/jeremycom/stat…

Dear Los Angeles, See what's going on in Garden Grove? This is the type of crisis situation mayors (and governors) have to deal with. It's very serious, and requires an understanding of how to work with authorities and the ability to make informed decisions quickly - because people's lives are at stake. Sure, it's Orange County. But LA is always one earthquake, one terror attack, one violent riot, or one uncontained wildfire away from the next crisis. Choose someone with more experience than being on a reality tv show, and selling crystals.

Fyi - mayor BASS is the one who wrote the emergency orders for rebuilding ‘eligible’ rebuilds allowing 110% size rebuilds and zero additional regulations. Plus adding ADU’s are eligible which increases population density to a town that already has evacuation challenges. So I guess BASS is one who’s “stupid as fuck” in your eloquent wording. Those of us struggling along here to rebuild are voluntarily upgrading fire hardening with no city requirement to do so by your favorite mayor. But yeah…enjoy criticizing from your OC vantage point.

@ElsaLongden @montana91002 @cwebbonline I know many people that lived out there and the last thing they need is a dumb fuck mayor deregulating shit and building things the way they were to have the same exact thing happen again. Anyone promoting that needs to get the fuck away because they're stupid as fuck.

@TimesofCharles @montana91002 @cwebbonline You’ve now gone quiet @TimesofCharles — so I’ll assume video evidence of a dozen firetrucks in the village midday on 1/8 is enough for you to finally understand there was NO WATER?! Here’s a new interview on Mayor Bass’ negligent command: x.com/elex_michaelso…
Elex Michaelson@Elex_Michaelson

.@JonVigliotti of @CBSNews wrote the new book "Torched" about the L.A.'s wildfires. He says Mayor Karen Bass *did* know about National Weather Services' warnings about extreme fire danger before Jan 7, 2025. "My sources make it very clear the Mayor was very well aware of those warnings and still chose to go on that assignment to Ghana." In an interview with me, Bass disputed Vigliotti's reporting. CNN has not been able to independently confirm it.

Here’s your proof Mr Bully. This was taken on January 8th as the Chase bank in the Palisades Village started on fire. This is not high up in the Highlands! Notice all the fire engines sitting idle not even bothering to pull out hoses because they had NO WATER!!!! Or are you suggesting the firefighters just wanted to let it burn due to negligence?

Again — semantics Mr. Bully of fire victims. If you turn on a faucet or hydrant and NOTHING comes out there is ‘no water’. How does your dumb water pressure argument have anything to do with the fact that hydrants ‘ran dry’ which = no water coming out of them. Water is a magical substance that firefighters use to fight fires…but that seems incomprehensible to you!

Amen! Plus criminal negligence from leadership which led to 12 Palisades/Malibu elderly & disabled residents being horrifyingly burned alive due to botched evacuations. If you turn on a faucet or hydrant and nothing comes out you say there’s “NO WATER” or that it’s “run dry”. Not sure why anyone challenging this verbage for semantics. I wish all Angelenos would drive through the Palisades and take in the devastation that bad leadership caused.

@TimesofCharles @ElsaLongden @cwebbonline I think they're referring to the Palisades area. They did run out of water that FFs have always relied on because the reservoir was empty. 118 million gallons of H2O not available during fire season. That's failed leadership of the City, FD, water dept, etc.

If you turn on a faucet and nothing comes out, you’d say there’s “no water” — right? Semantics about the ‘system’ having water don’t change the facts on the ground. I was there: fire trucks sitting idle since there was no water coming from hydrants while buildings burned in front of my eyes. Friends had dry hoses and were using buckets of pool water to extinguish spot fires. The LA Times and loads of other news have reported it. The governor ordered an investigation. The LAFD hired a Hollowood PR firm to save them and the mayor from ‘reputational harm’ (email proof in lawsuit!). But you still propagate the fantasy that for what? Why not believe victims with eyewitness account The empty Santa Ynez Reservoir’s 117 million gallons would have made a difference - It was not inconsequential.

@ElsaLongden @cwebbonline Your house burned down because a 100mph wind storm, once in a generation, blew threw LA during a drought and nearly zero percent humidity perfect storm. It's really that simple. If you think ANYONE was stopping it, you are a fool.

I personally witnessed with my own 2 eyes the Chase bank building go up in flames on 1/8 with 4 for trucks sitting on the street in front of it with NO WATER. Why do you feel the need to say lies to fire victims who are first hand witnesses? You, sir, are the one misrepresenting facts.
