@Pirat_Nation so i read this... and all i could picture where the dev's being cross eye'd saying. "it can't be done, buuuuut it can work like this." or. how about. and hear this one out. make a game that doesn't need to be 24/7 online. kinda ruins the "ready player one" vibes but is better.

Some game developers are pushing back on the idea that saving online-only games is easy. Developers who have worked on games like Warframe, Anthem, and SpaceCraft say these games depend on huge server systems that players never see. When the servers shut down, the game often stops working. Bringing it back can take years because developers or fans may have to rebuild those server systems from scratch if the original code is no longer available. The developers also said there's a much easier solution: plan for the game's end before it launches just adding an offline mode or allowing players to run their own servers can make it much easier to keep a game playable after official support ends.

Students from India went on a hunger strike in Calgary. They came to Canada on a study permit, but they expected a Postgraduate Work Permit (PGWP) almost as a right. And now they’re angry because Canada is telling them to go home. Those students may seem pretty entitled, but it’s fair to ask if Canada didn’t encourage that attitude. After all, how else do you interpret the message of the sign in the picture from April 2023 (taken in Columbia, but undoubtedly found elsewhere), “Education + Immigration. Come to study, stay to live.” Many of the international students who came to Canada attended “diploma mills” but the government seemed to welcome that. Then, when the housing crisis and other problems arising from its open doors policy created a backlash, Canada simply slammed the door shut. All of which reflects poorly on a government that was indifferent to the problems that mass immigration created for resident Canadians and is indifferent to the disappointment of international students who learned the hard way that “Come to study, stay to live,” was not a promise to them but just part of a growth plan that was dropped when inconvenient.
