@Em203Riley It is interesting to read the perspectives of different members of this class via their tweets. Twitter is such an engaging platform and amazing way to connect on a quicker and more personal level with classmates.

@Em203K I felt the same way. Memorization is a challenge in itself and being distracted by music or videos does not help. I think a great way to avoid these distractions is to put our phones aside and focus on the task we are given.

When doing the Multi-Tasking memory task, it was difficult to memorize a list of words when having music playing, my phone on loud, and having Netflix playing! To improve my memorization, a quiet space is best! #EM203Mueller #week3multitasking

@EM203JustinEng I also remembered less words with distractions. Exercises like these help us realize how important it is for us to stay focussed and on task with little distractions while we do out work.

The results are in for the #week3multitasking challenge. While it was close, I was able to remember 17 words with no distractions versus 15 words with distractions. It definitely was harder to focus with Netflix and music in the background. #EM203Mueller

@EM203ETostevin I definitely agree! The lesson explaining different learning methods was very interesting and detailed. I liked learning about how learning approaches have evolved and how beneficial hands on experience is.

In each of first three lessons of EM203, I have learned something new. The lesson regarding different learning theories was very interesting and it's great that I am already being exposed to new digital learning tools. Very Excited for the rest of this course. #EM203Mueller

@EM203ABapoo I also feel that I have been able to apply my learning in this course to my everyday life. For example, I did not realize how much multitasking is taking away from my learning and I plan to do it less. How have you incorporated these learning methods?

I have learned many new things from the first 3 classes of EM203. It is great to share my thoughts with members of my group, students enrolled in this class and members of the community through twitter. This allows me to share my own ideas and reflect on others. #EM203Mueller

While doing the multitasking experiment, I was able to remember 2 words from List A. However, when I read List B I was able to remember 7 words. This experiment allowed me to realize how important it is to be work with no distractions #EM203Mueller #week3multitasking
