Eleven years ago today, I helped plant Cities Church. I served as a pastor there for 8 years. This is a normal Baptist Church. They worship Jesus. They love each other. One of my great great grandparents immigrated here from the Netherlands. They changed their names to Americanized versions of them. They didn’t teach or allow their kids to speak Dutch because they wanted them to be American. That’s what assimilation looks like and that’s not what’s happening these days.

Look at the Bread of Life discourse as an example of an omniscient and prescient God knowing and speaking of future things, where the dogma of transubstantiation was only officially recognized in the 13th Century, while the actual practice existed since the Last Supper, and had been commented on in St. Paul's epistles and in the Didache.
