Pete Hegseth repeatedly mocks "rules of engagement." But now that a US pilot is missing and possibly capture, a reminder, rules of engagement don't just protect people we go to war against, they also protect OUR troops.

NEWS --> Now that Hegseth fired another top general, Rep Adam Smith tells me that if Dems take House, Armed Services Committee will seek testimony from people pushed out by Hegseth. Dems will also probe why he stalled promotion of black/female officers: newrepublic.com/article/208604…

🚨 Pete Hegseth just fired Army Chief of Staff General Randy George — effective immediately. During an active war. A Fox News national security analyst — a retired US Marine — just said live on air: “This is a big deal.” Hegseth has now removed over a dozen flag and general officers including: — General CQ Brown — Chairman of the Joint Chiefs — Admiral Lisa Franchetti — Chief of Naval Operations — General Kruse — Head of Defense Intelligence Agency — General Randy George — Army Chief of Staff — Two additional generals fired today Firing a general during wartime is nearly without precedent in American history. The 82nd Airborne is deploying to the Middle East for potential ground operations. The Army Chief of Staff who would oversee those troops is gone. His replacement: a Hegseth loyalist installed with no Senate confirmation. Hegseth previously fired the DIA head after his agency said US strikes were less effective than Trump claimed. The generals who might say no are being systematically replaced with generals who won’t. April 6th is four days away.
