Jedes deutsche Kind, das einer Minderheit angehört, insbesondere wenn es muslimisch ist, wird an einem bestimmten Punkt mit der Ungleichbehandlung konfrontiert. Bis dahin dachte man, ganz normal wie alle zur eigenen Heimat dazuzugehören. Und dann kommt sie, die Ohrfeige aus Politik oder Medien. Und man fragt sich: Was soll das? Wird Noah eine Antwort von Bundeskanzler Merz erhalten? Man möchte meinen, der Kanzler sollte keine Zeit versteichen lassen, die Kritik des Jungen ernstzunehmen und ihm einsichtige und zugleich beruhigende Worte zurückzuschicken. Wer möchte Noah erzählen, dass solche Selbstkritik in unserem Land, vor allem in Sachen Rassismus und Islamfeindlichkeit, selten bis nichtexistent ist? Kinder wie Noah sollen hoffen dürfen.
