Hard to believe this one.
1) Most schools are using univ preferred vendors. Spirit usually isn’t one.
2) OVs are too fluid. Last minute tickets, changing decisions, etc. Spirt’s model isn’t built for this.
3) Frustration of hidden fees. School’s don’t want this for recruits/fam.

Mid-majors especially were relying on cheap flights. $49 one way… Now that's gone. NIL didn't just create a financial gap between Power 4 and mid-majors. The AIRLINES are widening it now too. You think a kid choosing between Alabama flying him and his family direct on Delta and a Frontier connection through Denver is a hard decision? Recruiting was already pay to play. Now it's fly to play. The rich programs just got richer. 💰
