Correlation betweeen youth harm and increasing gender dysphoria presentations. For girls it seems the mental health crisis came first around the introduction of instagram

@ThePosieParker I see them use the, "it was socially acceptable at the time" argument. Who cares - if a grown man, regardless of society, would look at a child & prefer them over a woman? There's a P word for that & its not, Prophet

If I found out that the religion I had been indoctrinated into was started by a man who married a six year old, who raped that little girl when she was nine, I would leave that religion. I have serious issues with anyone who justifies or ignores those actions and still follows Islam.

@urusernameisu @FondOfBeetles Yeah, I figure if they want rights for their trans identity, it's not those of women, they will get separate accommodations. Their identity isn't women as they can't actually be women

@EmardonLareous @FondOfBeetles I’d prefer the claim that men are women be dismissed out of hand, as in never considered in public policy and practice of any sort ever again. Fuck every last such claimant, along with their governmental and other institutional enablers. They’ll do just fine in men’s prisons. 😇

@FranckMagennis You live in a country where you can be arrested for making mean tweets. If you would like less policing of language, maybe you need to start from a position that the government doesn't selectively determine what offense is

@donmcgowan The problem there is the change in language, socialist in 1900 meant state control, that's all it meant. It didn't describe equal distribution or equity, it was solely a position on government control

🗺️ Israel, the only Jewish state? This is one of the things they like to point out, but it is not even true. They actually already have another state. Jewish Autonomous Oblast (JAO) It is bigger, there is no regional conflict, it is safer for them, it is safer for their neighbors, it is better for the whole world.

@ibrahimibnyusuf Do you believe Palestinians are Arabs? Would you like to look up who lived in Palestine in 1833 and who invaded in 1834? This argument of yours seems absurd when Jews in Palestine were enslaved under 2 different empires in the century before 1944

OK, so the Palestinians only began to plant olive trees when the Jews arrived. But by 1944 Palestinians produced 60 times more olives than Jews. Either they were better farmers because they were indigenous or they had been growing olives since well before the Jews came—or both.

“Palestine is famous for its olive trees”???? Every single travelogue of a century and half ago noted how the land was lifeless, denuded of every tree and even cactus shrub, let alone humans. Only when the Jews arrived did any agriculture of any sort commence. The Palestinianists are famous only for their bumper crop year over year of lies.

@EmardonLareous @FondOfBeetles Hope you know I agree. Yet having observed all this for so long, and having talked with so many about it, I must say that scads of people *fervently believe* that gender identity’s existence—as distinct from sex—is just plain well established science. Why/how is fascinating.

@Concreteisland2 It's not about their religion though, is it? There's Muslims in Israel, they don't kill innocent people so they are treated as equals and live peacefully. Gaza however is ran by Arab supremacists whose charter explicitly called for the murder of "Jews"

@urusernameisu @FondOfBeetles The people that defend "trans" rights have no capacity to introspect that belief claims don't overrule factual claims by others. Why should women be concerned with how some men feel about not being included in an identity they don't belong to? We don't allow this for race

@EmardonLareous @FondOfBeetles I’ve been typing various sarcastic answers for a few minutes, but they’re not doing much work. The truth is that I’m flummoxed and freaked out at how degraded policy and discourse have become since “trans” and the rest of wokeness have captured our institutions. Despair.

@IdrisAOni1 Blaming Islam for terrorism ignores Islamic sources and scholarship. From the Qur’ān to centuries of legal tradition, terrorism is haram. Institutions like Al-Azhar and hundreds of scholars have issued fatwas condemning it. Extremists don’t represent Islam.

Islam strictly condemns terrorism as a grave sin that violates its fundamental principles of peace, mercy, and the sanctity of human life. The Qur'ān explicitly states that killing one innocent soul is akin to killing all of humanity (Qur'ān 5:32), a verse widely cited by scholars to prohibit unjust violence. Islamic teachings emphasize that aggression is forbidden, and any form of warfare must be defensive, proportionate, and strictly avoid harming non-combatants, including women, children, and the elderly. Mainstream Islamic scholarship unanimously rejects terrorism, with prominent institutions and scholars issuing clear condemnations. Fatwas from bodies such as the Fiqh Council of North America, Al-Azhar University, and hundreds of international Muslim leaders declare acts of terrorism targeting civilians as haram (forbidden). Notable examples include the comprehensive 2010 Fatwa on Terrorism by Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri, which systematically refutes extremist justifications and labels such violence as disbelief. Extremist groups like Al-Qaeda and ISIS distort Islamic texts by misinterpreting concepts such as jihad, primarily meaning personal or defensive struggle, and selectively quoting verses out of context to justify indiscriminate attacks. These interpretations are overwhelmingly rejected by the global Muslim scholarly community as heretical and contrary to classical Islamic law, which prohibits suicide bombings, civilian targeting, and acts of hirabah (waging war against society). The vast majority of Muslims worldwide view terrorism as un-Islamic, with repeated statements and polls reflecting strong opposition to such acts. Terrorism arises from political grievances, radical ideologies, and misinterpretations, not from authentic Islamic teachings, which derive from the root word "salam" meaning peace and promote coexistence and justice for all.

@AbubakarAmeen_ @IdrisAOni1 You first have to pretend that all the exceptions Muhammad explicitly spelt out to justify HIS violence don't exist and then claim that those justifications don't apply when other people use them as rationalisations for their violence

@IdrisAOni1 Islam also lists a series of exceptions to that prohibition, so who adjudicates when those exceptions apply? As Allah knows Muhammad was hypocritical when applying them. "Nobody else could be defending themselves from me"

@ThomasWillett9 @MForstater There. You don't need to be an expert to read clinical literature and realise how bad this trial is, in terms of the design, and bad for the children. But if you want more clinical evidence of the harms caused by these drugs, let me know.

Just a reminder that @MForstater is not qualified to be commenting on children’s healthcare. She is a lobbyist at best who is earning money by regurgitating transphobic garbage determined by her paymasters. Stop listening to frauds and listen to experts and trans people.
Maya Forstater@MForstater

Children are taking a dangerous drug on the misbegotten expectation that they can be accepted as the opposite sex at school. Instead of giving them the drug in a spurious test of whether it makes a child happy to get what they want, the adults in the room need to understand that their job is to keep children safe. A girl who thinks she can be a boy, a boy who thinks he can be a girl needs to have it explained that they cannot. Going ahead with this trial @wesstreeting without the schools guidance @bphillipsonMP is utterly irresponsible. Going ahead with the trial, with guidance that explains that children cannot be treated as the opposite sex at school would make no sense. The trail makes no sense. It is irrational and unethical.

Your point on irreversible harm is valid—incidents like the Krista Richards case in SA (Adelaide Now, Nov 2025) have led to calls for policy changes, with opposition pushing bans on trans women in female prisons (ACL reports). Isolation can be mitigated, but safety must come first. Some advocate for dedicated units to protect everyone. Thoughts on that?

Its funny how they keep repeating the same thing even though it negates the foundation their entire argument. Yes, we know sex and gender are not the same; one is real, and scientifically falsifiable, the other is a made up bourgeoisie luxury belief proogated by degenerate intellectuals like Michel Foucault and John Money in the 60's. But most importantly, if sex and gender ARE different (as we all agree) why are you using gender as a way to access spaces in society that have always been segregated by sex? Bathrooms, sports and prisons have never been segregated by "gender" they've been segregated by sex. So then if we all agree that sex and gender are different, why are you trying to gain access to spaces that have always been segregated by sex using gender?
