The Embassy of Guatemala @EmbGuaIndia in India recently participated in the Ecumenical Intercultural and Interreligious Easter Celebration, organized by the Chavara Cultural Center @ChavaraDelhi at the Sri Sathya Sai Auditorium in New Delhi. During the event, Ambassador Omar Castañeda Solares conveyed greetings on behalf of the Government of Guatemala and highlighted the value of intercultural and interreligious dialogue, as well as the country's peaceful, democratic, multicultural, and multilingual vocation. He also shared a message of hope for #Easter and recalled that Guatemala's Holy Week was declared an Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO. The event brought together some 300 people and fostered an encounter between cultures and religious traditions in a space for reflection and fellowship. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs continues to promote cultural diplomacy as a tool to foster dialogue, a culture of peace, and mutual respect.

#GuatemalaEnIndia | La Embajada de Guatemala en India participó recientemente en la Celebración Ecuménica Intercultural e Interreligiosa de Pascua, organizada por el Centro Cultural Chavara en el Auditórium Sri Sathya Sai, en Nueva Delhi. Durante la actividad, el embajador Omar Lisandro Castañeda trasladó un saludo en nombre del Gobierno de Guatemala y destacó el valor del diálogo intercultural e interreligioso, así como la vocación pacífica, democrática, pluricultural y multilingüe del país. También compartió un mensaje de esperanza con motivo de la Pascua y recordó que la Semana Santa de Guatemala fue declarada Patrimonio Cultural Inmaterial de la Humanidad por la Unesco. La actividad reunió a unas 300 personas y promovió el encuentro entre culturas y tradiciones religiosas en un espacio de reflexión y convivencia. #CommercialDiplomacyGT | #ViceMinisterGT Julio Orozco chaired a meeting together with the Ambassador of India to Guatemala, Raj Kumar Singh, and the Ambassador of Guatemala to India, Omar Castañeda Solares @EmbGuaIndia with the purpose of planning and coordinating a high-level public-private mission on trade and investment matters to that country, organized jointly with IndiaCam. The meeting was attended by representatives from the Ministry of Economy, the Ministry of Energy and Mines, and various private sector guilds, including AGEXPORT, CACIF, the Guatemala Chamber of Commerce (CCG), the Guatemala Chamber of Industry (CIG), CAMAGRO, and VESTEX. During the meeting, the definition of strategic sectors was discussed, along with the interest in facilitating access for Guatemalan products to the Indian market, attracting foreign investment, and strengthening Guatemala's positioning as a reliable partner in the region.  These actions are part of the efforts of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MINEX) to promote commercial diplomacy, diversify markets, and generate new trade and investment opportunities that contribute to the country's economic growth. 🔗

#DiplomaciaComercialGT | El #ViceCancillerGT Julio Orozco presidió una reunión junto con el embajador de la India en Guatemala, Raj Kumar Singh, y el embajador de Guatemala en la India, Omar Castañeda, con el propósito de planificar y coordinar una misión público-privada de alto nivel en materia de comercio e inversión hacia ese país, organizada conjuntamente con IndiaCam. En el encuentro participaron representantes del Ministerio de Economía, del Ministerio de Energía y Minas y de distintos gremios del sector privado, entre ellos AGEXPORT, CACIF, Cámara de Comercio de Guatemala (CCG), Cámara de Industria de Guatemala (CIG), CAMAGRO y VESTEX.
