Meaghan Kall has moved to Bluesky@kallmemeg

An outbreak of E. Coli is ongoing across the UK. Likely caused by a food item(s) but source *as yet unknown* (investigations ongoing) Meanwhile be vigilant: 🥬🍓Wash fruit and vegetables. 🧼 Wash hands with soap and water. 🧽 Wipe kitchen surfaces with disinfectant.

So proud of @MyNottingham Public Health Team who scooped the @lgcplus best retention award today. The judges noted the kindness within the team and the difference we are making for our population. Great recognition for all their hard work.

1/ I care an enormous amount about a lot of the stories I’ve worked on during my @washingtonpost career, but few have moved me as deeply as the one we published today about Stephan Goodwin, and the risks people with schizophrenia face in extreme heat. washingtonpost.com/climate-enviro…

Global Heat Health Information Network
Reporting deaths from heat? It's more complex than you think. We asked experts from across our network why we see big differences in the numbers of heat-related deaths reported for the same locations, and what this means for risk communication. ghhin.org/news/expert-qa…

London’s toxic air is a health crisis. It’s a privilege to receive an Honorary Fellowship from @FPH on behalf of all those who have worked so hard in London to improve air quality, save lives and reduce health inequality.
