21 years old today. I usually don’t have much to say on my birthday, but this year feels different One year ago today I was at my lowest, and now I feel like I’m so much stronger and happier.
I grew up a ton, more than any other year, still have a ways to go, but it feels good.

@MetroidMasterX6 SA2 is a great game to learn since you most skips only save little bit of time and you can add them whenever you feel comfortable. The SA2 community is very active and has a lot of homies willing to help if you wanna join the discord!

@Emerldd So I've done a little bit of Sonic speedrunning, at least with SA2 but I haven't gotten around to sitting down and really learning it. My issue has been just getting myself to knuckle down and learn a few games and reach out to peeps willing to teach me.

@KBoomski17 This is valid honestly and I think a lot of people feel similarly. Hell even I as a speedrunner bounce around games a lot because it would drive me insane to play one single game forever

and if they just show up in a stream and see someone out of bounds theyre like "nah im good"

@kingsuneater enjoyable to play, as well as cuts out downtime for the run. Some speedruns suffer from having a section of the game where you just sit there and do nothing for minutes at a time. Skipping this helps both those issues but its not "pure" to some people.

I dont know why my brain doesnt just lean into those more as a speedrunning creator. Probably because its something that already exists. but the more there is, the more people will watch

@Emerldd @LlennoxYt I like when speedrunners do "speedrun trick explained" video guides.
Sometimes, when you watch a run, you dont how the imputs/setups of the runner for a skip, so guides are always welcome!
DawnSR's Frontiers videos were one of the reasons I began speedrunning that game!

@grandmamystery @LlennoxYt Yeah i think speedrunners having a better presence on social media overall is a simple answer. Almost all people who are speedrunners, including myself, could work on just that alone
Twitch's discoverability is ass even with the "speedrun" tag. most people dont use the tags 😭
