When the noise is over, Tinubu’s government will most likely be a total failure - judging by what we have seen in these early days. The biggest losers in all these will be ordinary Nigerians.

Supreme Court: President Bola Tinubu was seen in his office congratulating his appointees as the Apex Court affirmed his victory at the February 25 presidential polls. He could be heard saying to his Special Adviser on media and publicity Ajuri NGELALE "Your job is secured”

@IconSenator @ChuksEricE No one cares about your shallow analysis. My question is, why is the master strategist, Mr Bola Tinubu afraid of opposition even with the 36 State Governors he claims are with him? 🤣

Sometimes I wonder whether Rufai Oseni is a journalist or a beer-parlour commentator. His latest intervention reads more like partisan cheerleading than sober analysis. Since 2023, Peter Obi has repeatedly shown a troubling inability to manage political situations. First, he could not contain the festering crisis within the Labour Party despite the massive goodwill and youth energy his candidacy generated. That internal rot diluted what should have been a potent movement. Then came the ill-advised leap into the ADC. Without thorough consultation or due diligence, Obi jumped in, only to discover the party had already been captured by other interests. If a man positioning himself as a national leader cannot persuade even a few hundred party stakeholders to back him in a relatively small outfit, how does he expect to convince tens of millions of Nigerian voters across a complex federation? Yet, in his resignation statement, he once again pointed fingers at President Bola Tinubu and the APC for his own strategic miscalculation. Now, with the fresh move to the National Democratic Congress (NDC), the same pattern repeats. To unseat an incumbent APC that controls the federal machinery and boasts over 30 serving governors, the opposition desperately needs a credible united front. Instead, Obi has again chosen a relatively obscure platform that many Nigerians, including, his own son — only learned about recently. This approach risks the same fragmentation we saw in 2023. Split opposition votes almost always favour the ruling party. Until Nigerian opposition figures learn to subordinate personal ambition and ego to collective strategy, President Tinubu will continue to enjoy the benefits of a divided battlefield. Competence is not just about criticising the government; it is also about demonstrating superior organisation, foresight, and coalition-building. On that score, the former Anambra governor still has much to prove.

"The only person that can give President Tinubu a push is Mr. Peter Obi. The first strategy is to ensure he doesn’t get on the ballot. For those saying Obi keeps moving from one party to another, the same thing that happened in PDP in 2022 is exactly why he left ADC and joined NDC yesterday. Wike has justification in his actions over what is happening in PDP, and that was part of why Obi left. Atiku’s camp had already hijacked most of the structure in ADC. From a source, at the meeting held in Oyo State, there were plans to zone the ticket to the South, but Atiku’s camp insisted otherwise. Obi claiming he left because of a court case is not true, it’s because he was already pushed into a corner." —Rufai Oseni, Arise TV anchor

@2Harry2btru @engr_abiodun_ I ask same question, whether guilty or not, those policemen had no legal authority whatsoever to execute him. These submissions tells you how dumb and backwards the society is…

@Larryib @MobilePunch Autopsy is a standard procedure in situations like this. An autopsy report is a key evidence to be tendered by the prosecution during the trial of those policemen. Even if you think the cause of death is known, the court will need an autopsy report from a Coroner.

@GossipMillNaija Innocent or not, every suspect deserves a fair trial under the constitution. I know this may be a difficult concept for some daft persons to understand - until they or someone they know become a victim

Just in: “I don't think that OG Millions is innocent. Someone was caught with a gun, and you people are asking for justice. These boys are very evil; they are only calm if they are caught." - Nigerian youth reacts to the police extrajudicial K!lling in Delta State.

This country has taken so much from us. @officialABAT The killing of an unarmed civilian in his bedroom in the dead of the night by men of the @HQNigerianArmy must be thoroughly investigated. The murderers and their motive must be made public.

A pretty damning article I also think that @joashamupitan should resign. Not bcos he was Asiwaju’s supporter in 2023. As a private citizen that was his right But for displaying a lack of character & integrity by altering his social media history & publicly lying about his past.

Today’s Saturday Tribune column X-rays INEC Chairman Joash Amupitan’s pro-APC tweets from the 2023 election, exposes the falsehood in the official denial, and calls on him to resign to salvage what remains of the public trust in the electoral process: farooqkperogi.com/2026/04/amupit…
