@EsBoltoise An iceberg order is called “hidden” because only a small portion of the total order is visible to the market at any given time. You are just trading as a hobby?

Absorption is when the market moves directionally, then stalls or goes sideways even though there is strong delta behind the move. In this example, the market may show a lot of positive delta, meaning aggressive buyers are lifting offers, but price is not moving higher. This usually means passive sellers are absorbing that buying pressure by reloading offers on the DOM. So the question is: How can we build so much positive delta without price moving higher?

@EsBoltoise I know that everything is printed in one exchange. Icebergs are hidden, but you need the correct data tools to spot them. That’s why they are so effectively. The cat thing I don’t understand. Just wanted your outlook on the topic.

I look at the 0dte chain and only vol andOI. And yes everything is printed on one exchange. Ever order, bid/ask, mkt etc is all in one marketplace for you to see. Hence why futures are incredible. You can’t hide anything. Icebergs aren’t hidden lol, delta always prints etc. your skinny a cat with tweezers when you have a blade

@andrew_nfx No surprise at all that he found more success using negative RR with prop firms. You just have to look at rules such as the consistency rules. These sort of rules favour negative RR traders much more

I met a trader in Dubai who was doing $80k/month in prop firm payouts. He showed me his stats. 71% win rate. Average RR: 0.8R to 1.2R. I asked him why such low risk-reward. 'Bro, I tried the 1:3RR+ thing for 2 years. Blew 40+ accounts. My win rate was 25%. I'd have 8-10 losing trades in a row and couldn't handle it mentally.' 'Then I switched to taking quick profits. 1:1 mostly. Sometimes less if price shows weakness.' 'My win rate jumped to 70%+.' He was running $2.8M in combined funding across 8 accounts. Some months he'd make 1%. Some months 5%. But he was consistent. And the psychology was easier. Winning 7 out of 10 trades feels completely different than winning 3 out of 10. Even if the math says they're equal. Your brain doesn't care about math during a 12-trade losing streak. He told me: 'I don't need to be right about where price is going long-term. I just need to be right about the next 10-15 pips. That's it.' Most traders are chasing these huge runners because someone on YouTube told them that's what 'real traders' do. Meanwhile this guy is taking home $80k/month with 0.8-1.2R trades. You don't need massive risk-reward to make serious money. You need capital + consistency + a win rate you can actually maintain. Low RR with high win rate will always beat high RR with low win rate when it comes to prop firm payouts.

@EsBoltoise Do I really? Even with MBO data it’s not visual, icebergs doesn’t show all the time but delta prints are there but markets reversed. What’s you outlook about that? You use gamma?

I'm in a Discord group. A guy in there has been trading for 5 years. Never made a penny. Lost $15,000. Today he sent a message: “Guys, that's it. I quit.” And then he left the group. There's no mercy in this game.

@EsBoltoise In positive gamma environment I get my A+ setups, and it’s absorption of sellers. So I have to ask myself this question is these reloading buyers the market makers need to act on delta. I have a threshold of 900 and 8/10 times markets absorbes all this selling pressure.

Because someone is repeatedly placing or refreshing offers at that level. Buyers keep lifting those offers, but every time the liquidity gets filled, more sell orders reload. This prevents price from progressing higher and shows that someone is willing to sell heavily at that spot. Absorption is not usually a single event. It is a process that develops over time. You may not know instantly that it is absorption, but you can observe the stall, the heavy delta, and the lack of price progress before taking action. The key is patience. Do not rush into the trade just because delta is strong. Wait to see if buyers fail, the level holds, and the market begins to reverse. A trader could start with a small position, such as 1/3 or 1/4 size, once the absorption becomes clear. Then, if price begins to initiate lower and confirms the reversal, they can add more size into the move down.

I normally choose to ignore liars on the timeline because I expect people to have some common sense But this guy is just knowingly scamming new traders and it's so fucked up The fact that this stuff gets past people is just ridiculous, this guy has so many followers and he's literally just a liar Sad because people who actually get crazy trading returns go through hell before they make unreal amounts of money, yet this guy can just upload whatever he wants to TradeZella, post it, and get however many sales for his offshore broker or course or whatever I don't even know if he has a course or not, but all I know is that this guy should be banned from all socials for scamming has hard as he does Feel even worse for the people who listen to his bullshit and actually believe it Helpless

$ES HOD The poetic 53 gamma tag, absorb and drop 25 points. Heavy GEX there, but also insane levels of absorption and lower high sellers. Find clusters of heavy absorption that start to create lower highs on rotations if youre going to fade ATH. GEX helps too
