Today I tried something a bit different, I built myself a private Telegram bot and connected it directly to @ambient_xyz 's inference API.
How it works is actually pretty simple, I send a message on Telegram the bot picks it up and sends it to Ambient's API, Claude generates the response there and the bot brings the answer back to me on Telegram. So basically I'm chatting with Claude through Telegram but everything runs through Ambient's network.
I deployed the bot on my own VPS so it runs 24/7, doesn't matter if I shut down my computer or close my phone the bot is always ready. If a random question pops into my head at 3am I just open Telegram type it and get the answer.
Right now the bot is completely private, I locked it to my own Telegram ID. So even if someone finds the bot and tries to message it they get no response, nobody can spend my Ambient credits.
But here's what I'm thinking, if the Ambient team is cool with it I'd love to open it up for everyone. People could try Ambient's inference directly from Telegram without setting anything up, no downloads no API keys no configuration. Could be a nice onboarding path honestly.

feels like measuring attention quality could become its own data layer eventually
