Beautiful, democratically-controlled, permanently affordable housing for all isn’t a pipe dream: it’s social housing, and I’m fighting to bring it NY. We can have housing that allows people to live with dignity and supports our climate goals. But we have to organize for it.

The NYISO energy reliability assessment shows that gas generation is more expensive than solar AND there is a 7-10 year backlog on new gas turbines.  We need to be adopting actionable solutions like the ASAP Act if we want to improve the reliability of our grid.

Our community fought for this park for decades. They deserve the green space, the access to the water, and the peace it provides. Can't wait to see you there soon!
North Brooklyn Parks Alliance@NBKParks

Today’s Bushwick Inlet Park opening is a hard-win after decades of tireless work from @NYCParks @LincolnRestler @BKBPReynoso @EmilyAssembly @SenGonzalezNY @NydiaVelazquez. Today we celebrate this enormous milestone; tomorrow we continue to fight for the rest of the park 💪

Mayor Zohran Kwame Mamdani
There is nothing more important than keeping New Yorkers safe, and reining in super speeders will save lives. I am proud to support efforts in Albany to enable new tools like Intelligent Speed Assistance (ISA) in our fight for safe streets.
NYC DOT@NYC_DOT

“A small but reckless group of recidivist speeders poses a grave threat to the health and safety of everyone. That is why we, and Mayor Mamdani, support Intelligent Speed Assistance to rein in super speeders and save lives.” Commissioner Flynn’s op-ed: nydailynews.com/2026/04/25/alb…

The SUNNY Act is so popular, it passed the Senate unanimously. It’s time the Assembly catches up and passes the bill, so NY can join the ranks of states like UT, VA, MD, ME, and CO to: 🌞Lower utility bills 🌞Reduce emissions 🌞Expand access to solar

New York can create good union jobs, lower the cost of energy, improve health outcomes, and save failing projects by investing in public renewables. Clean, affordable energy can and should be a public good.
Sarahana Shrestha@sarahana

Solar developers are about to cancel 20+ major renewable energy projects in New York, and more than a million are over 2 months behind on their energy bills. My op-ed on @CityAndStateNY: Our private energy system is failing. The public can save it. cityandstateny.com/opinion/2026/0…

I’m incredibly honored to be joining the Mayor’s office to improve our city’s buses for the over one million New Yorkers who depend on them everyday. We’re going to make buses fast and free!
Streetsblog New York City@StreetsblogNYC

The Mamdani administration has tapped a former top executive at Transportation Alternatives to spearhead the mayor’s effort to speed up the slowest buses in the nation and, eventually, make them free of fares. nyc.streetsblog.org/2026/04/27/mam…

Weekend shutdowns are a big deal. To lose access to and from Greenpoint every weekend in June and December is unacceptable. My neighbors deserve more communication and consideration! brooklyn.news12.com/greenpoint-lea…

Love to see the collaboration between the Mayor and the Speaker here. New York's wealthiest people are about to receive $12B in federal tax cuts, while our people are having life-saving services cut. There is an obvious solution: Tax the Rich.
Bernadette Hogan@bern_hogan

Bottom line: Council appears to now give up a chunk of their savings plan - and agreeing with mayor that the best way to close their multi billion budget is to ask the state for more money

In case you’re wondering, this is what we mean when we say collusion between law enforcement and ICE makes communities less safe. New Yorkers don’t report crimes because they know that law enforcement will not protect them. We need NY 4 ALL, not for some. gothamist.com/news/he-went-t…

Stopping super speeders saves lives. It is a common-sense solution that protects NYers, without revoking a person's ability to drive. We have a window to pass this life-saving policy this year. Voters will remember what we do. nydailynews.com/2026/04/26/out…

These shutdowns impact social connections, weekend work shifts, and our wallets. They punish people for choosing to live in Greenpoint. We were told that last year's shutdowns would be the end. They made this schedule without communication, much less collaborative planning. 2/

UPDATE: @MTA is sharing that we're looking at G train shutdowns EVERY weekend in June and Dec, 2 weekends in Aug, and 1 in May and Sept. This is unacceptable. These shutdowns have disastrous impacts on our community. Small businesses lose customers in their busiest months. 1/
