A coffee shop in Galway will be opening their doors for a period on Christmas day. Mocha Beans in Claregalway will open for a few hours from 1pm to 3pm for any one who may be alone or homeless during the festive period. ‘If you are cold at home, or if you are homeless, we’ll also be supplying free hot water bottles, blankets, anything that we can do to help.’ Trevor added that items available would be extended past 3pm, and a box with blankets etc would be left outside for anyone who may want to remain anonymous. ‘That’ll also be extended for our coffee shops in Ballina, Pearse Street and Foxford Road,’ extra.ie/2025/12/18/new…

Our unmarked HGV unit was busy on the roads around Dublin today detecting drivers using mobile phones and driving carelessly. 'Worst offender' goes to the driver we noticed steering with their elbows while eating a salad 🤦 Needless to say they got a good dressing down from us.

Our new Emergency Call-taker (EMC) class recently completed their classroom modules. This week they began the next stage of training: 4 weeks of mentoring in NEOC 📷 Wishing you all the best of luck!

Day 11. No electricity. No phone reception. No Internet. And not a single ESB worker to be seen in the area in literally the entire 11 days. Everybody is saying the same thing. Where are all the workmen, Irish or crews brought in from other countries, because we haven't seen a single person. Not 1. At least the Dail got an extra 2 weeks of holidays. I'm hearing about so many people in their late 80s and 90s hanging on by a thread. The newspapers and radio stations have basically stopped talking about it. We're old news.
