Listen Ed, I like you as a person, have repeatedly stated that my only beef with you is over the z-jump stuff given your incredibly lackluster track record (enjoying Wevans vs. lloD publicly, talking about how that's how melee should be played when lloD literally z-jumps) The clip you're seeing is with respect to me being able to do this without hand pain for the first time, which made me absolutely elated because my hands are just ... large, no other way to phrase it. You can have your opinions on z-jump, and that's fine. You can call out my legacy, and that's also fine, I'm happy with my career and have no real desire to try to prove you otherwise because I'm content with what I've done. My issue here comes with you crossing a clear personal line about my role as a top player. I've actively tried to take a step back due to the amount of negative press I've garnered and I don't believe it to be good for the community, but what you're doing is perhaps the most egregious example of hypocrisy I've ever seen. The community is undoubtedly plagued by drama, divisiveness, and general negative sentiments towards a lot of people, whether or not you want to see it. Trying to start something over this publicly is wild, and we talked about controller mods a year ago, and nothing happened. I don't believe it ever will, because there's too many crossroads to go outright ban 1-to-1 remaps, but if I'm wrong, awesome! I really wouldn't mind either way. Calling my behavior anti top player is hilarious, the role of a top player should be to try to get people into the game, make it inviting, and accessible to people. What you're doing is directly contradicting that, and is unabashedly insulting to the work I've put in absent z-jump discourse. I'm sorry you feel so strongly about z-jump, but maybe if you're so concerned with your in game performance, you should learn to tech chase and not play like a fucking degenerate before you call out someone who has invested more time into his craft than you will likely in your entire life. Maybe invest that time into trying to find ways to welcome people into the community and play games in the way they see fit, not start crusades about a video I made about z jumping when I was excited to experience it without hand pain, regardless of whether it directly impacts the game or not.
